Flamenco Classes in
Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, Montrose & Canyon Country

Linda "La Matadora" Andrade
Linda Andrade is Artistic Director of Sakai Flamenco, a dynamic performing ensemble composed of some of the finest traditional Flamenco dancers and musicians in the United States. The company performs and gives educational workshops year-round. Linda Andrade and Sakai Flamenco are roster artists for The Music Center of Los Angeles County's Education Division.
Born in Los Angeles, Linda Andrade began her Flamenco studies in this country. Eventually she moved to the south of Spain to immerse herself in the purest form of Flamenco, which has been kept alive by Gypsy families who hand down their traditions from generation to generation. New Flamenco Dance Classes with
MARIA MORCA
MARIA MORCA’S-on going course-
The Anatomy of the Flamenco Dance
These classes were developed from the experience of my career of many years as a professional Flamenco dancer. They are structured to teach how to dance with the guitar and cante.
The lessons include: palmas and rhythmic patterns for the 12 count forms of Flamenco – signals to enter the dance arena (how and when to enter) – letras de taconeo ( heelwork combinations) – llamadas and remates – compuestos/enseguidsa (movement combinations that complement the cante, including arms and skirt) and signals to finish (sierres) These classes are tailored for the more serious Flamenco student.
Maria is now teaching exclusively at Rosalie and Alva’s School of Ballet and Performance Gallery – 1417 W. 8th St (Weymouth Corners) San Pedro
Beginner/Inter. – Wed. 7:00-8:00 Rumba and Sevillanas
Inter./Advanced – Saturday 2:00-3:30 Bularias Intensive, Panaderos and Fandango.
*now forming a special Performance Group to perform Flamenco and the dances of the “Early Rancho Days” (in the style of the 1800’s) - Premiere Performance in June at Alva’s Performance Gallery ---- December at Little Sisters of the Poor,
San Pedro.
