Mistake #1 - Thinking someone else has a unique talent is better than yours.

Do you know people who want their lives to be different? I am referring to people who complain about love, health or spiritual fulfillment on a somewhat regular basis. Sound familiar?

Of course.

Just like me, I'm sure you have friends who keep expressing dissatisfaction about something not working for them in their life experience. But they don't seem to know how to make that change for themselves. Their life keeps falling short of their expectations. They are chronically disappointed about something even if other aspects of their lives are going great.

Somehow these people always have upset for their bad fortune. Somehow, it is never they at the steering wheel of their own life EXPERIENCE when it comes to disappointment.

So, what is going on here?

It's actually very simple.

Women and men don't base their lives on trusting the unique genius talent that they have moment to moment. Everyone has this unique genius even if they have yet to find it! People forget and think they will achieve their greatest happiness and success solely by following another�s life map. Another's map can help you but it will only take you so far. Sooner or later if you want to be in complete success, you must access the unique map within your own heart and soul. Your map will prove all you need in every way. In gratitude, as you be who you really are which is love in your own unqiue way, you find that rewards are for celebrating and contractions are for reminding you of the eternal love that is available in the middle of a temporary life contraction.

People yearning for love, spiritual awakening and well being often follow the footsteps of a charismatic successful person who they know as a friend, mentor or media hero.

Well, guess what?

Some people with the best intentions fail because they are not listening to the unique genius in their own heart. Mentors are there to guide and help you and mix with you and co create with you. Ultimately they are there to inspire you to find your own truths.

Sometimes, for months or years or decades, you follow another but fail to follow your own unique wisdom, which is in your heart.

Why in the world would a smart person do that?

To put it simply, you were trained to do this from the moment you began Nursery school. This way of living and learning has been ingrained for many years. That is why talented, intelligent, wonderful people commonly make this error and cheat themselves out of an outstanding life with fulfilling mentor experiences.

People who do this are destined to end up feeling life has a lot more to offer than they are experiencing. Most people who are extremely successful in one area (love, spiritual fulfillment, health) will tell you in all honesty, that they are not so successful in another area. This may be because they remembered to follow their own genius in one area yet forgot to in another. Good people do this often. When you do your best, and life provides challenge it is okay! It is simply a wave. When you don't try, you may get mad at life.

How do I know?

Because I've seen this behavior at least a hundred times. For almost a decade I have had a private practice as a psychotherapist, miracle coach and animal intuitive. For over two decades I have taught hundreds of people and lectured to millions. And because I've been a person who had made this very error many times myself. I speak from experience and know how to do it differently and will help you to do so.

Thinking back on challenges I have endured with love, well being and spiritual awakening, I was impeding myself from having my dream life. However, I didn't know I was the cause. I'm humbled that I was so clueless. I thought outside forces were the cause. I thought circumstances were my answer when this monent now as it is, is my answer.

But I was, all the while hoping that I would somehow change my life around, blocking my own success. I am glad I can now look back and smile and see the error of my ways, if you will.
Deep success comes in every moment when giving what is called forth is offered. When outer measurements take priority much is overlooked.

Colleagues and friends told me I was destined for big success for years and that my life was unfair. My failures didn't make sense. These special people were trying to help and had great faith in me. But they didn't see that I was the source of my own misery.

My hope was not about to change my reality and following the advice of countless others didn't really change it either. I had to begin to fully trust my own unique wisdom and myself. I had to learn to trust myself no matter what others said. I had to do things the way my heart instructed even when first-class, top-notch famous and highly successful people advised me otherwise. Until I did this I did not have my dream life.

The potential for something better for my life was evident to everyone and me else long before I created my dream life. But we believed my misfortune was bad luck rather than self-inflicted.

The truth was I was profoundly weak at seeing my own value.

And, more importantly, I wasn't even at a place in my life where I knew how to or was interested in developing a deep and committed relationship with my own inner genius. That level of surrender power frightened me.

But deep down I believed that if I tried hard enough, that would make up for what was lacking.

I believed that I could become someone else who was successful. Of course, there was nobody for me to become. I really just needed to relax and sink into Divien Love to be myself right here in each moment. I needed to be curious about whom I was and let that unfurl.

But I thought there was a fight to win, a competition to win, something to prove - talk about a losing battle. I was conditioned from years of education to think life was a contest. If some authority out there would discover me I would make it. Yuck! How debilitating. Every authority that loved me made no difference until I allowed the love in me as me.

You would think we all know that it is our uniqueness that will carry us to great achievement.

But until you accept that a lot of us do this masquerade routine on very subtle levels, and that you could be doing it on some level, you'll never have the success with love, well being, spiritual enlightenment that you deserve in a way that is fulfilling and natural. You will keep looking for outside measurements.

Let me be totally honest. I am working with these steps always and I have fallbacks. Every now and then I achieve great things , fall far the outer measurements and encounter more challenging obstacles on the other side. But as I use the wisdom I have been fortunate enough to receive, my success and fulfillment grow exponentially.

For example, a decade ago I seemed to end up with incompatible boyfriends constantly. Today I celebrate may years with the man of my dreams. Several years ago I was about to give up on my own business because it was running me ragged without generating close to the salary it needed to run it. I tuned into something deep within and now my loyalty to be within the work in times of ease and times of hardship is not questionable. This is a great success and a joy. I have experienced great gifts of health, been blessed to heal from illness via present time embracing of the experience and patience, and am blessed to go through spiritually awakening and uplifting experiences all day each day. Mistake #2 - Assuming that the solution to your challenges will require many arduous years of work.

Most successful people use simple tactics. You need to accept this fact and deal with it.

When a person realizes that she or he is the key, doorway and kingdom to all she or he needs, answers become simple and easy. Complexity can fly out the window and the strain can dissolve.

Nobody wants to realize that years have been wasted with unnecessary, arduous effort. But if this realization meant hitting a home run with all of your dreams coming true, would it be worth having? Look at it another way. All the energy you ever used to succeed was sincere. It made you a strong and valuable person. In this respect it was not a waste of time at all. And if tweaking your point of view just a bit here and there will finally get you all you desire, who cares that you took a longer path? We all have!

You need to accept this fact, and deal with it. There were better ways to do things. If there were not you wouldn't be reading this article. But the fact that you were not educated in these ways has nothing to do with your value as a person. You are valuable and you deserve to succeed.

There are simple keys to successful living that ANYONE can master and they can be learned in a week. You don�t need a lifetime. That is a myth. You need your life and some time and you need yourself.

I love to meditate and I love spiritual practices but they did not cause me to experience the incredible return to oneness that I learned from animals and human friends. Animals and human friends teach me over and over that awakening is FREE. In the moment if I ask to be awakened I will be. Wealth as a way of knowing life in all circumstances is FREE. I am love and so are you. Love is FREE. As long as I open my heart like the animals and allow what I ask for to come in and keep participating in life what I ask for is here...it is here. It may not be here this moment but in time it is here.

Mistake #3 - Not Offering it All Up

In the desire to be happy people often collect things for themselves: material goods, emotions, other people, experiences you name it! That�s all well and good but it will not fulfill your heart until you offer it all back to the universe. Whether you are experiencing the greatest joy in your life or the worst tragedy, offer it up to the universe. The more you do this, the more you will come to see that none of what you are doing, being or having is YOU! You are the love and light within it all and when you come to fully, automatically and energetically know this you can receive all situations as miracles all the time; preferred and non preferred situations.

People begin to equate their experiences, things, characteristics, accomplishments and failures with their self worth. This impedes the flow of success. Be grateful for your experiences, things, feelings, accomplishments, challenges, and friends, but offer them up.

Mistake #4 - False Humility
I have spent a lot of time at Ashrams. At one particular Ashram people were very upset because they had spent years to become awaken and perceived me to �Get it� my first visit effortlessly. This did not feel fair to some of the disciples.

I desperately tried to give them the gift�to help them see that all they needed to do was to love themselves�but they had learned false humility.

Here are examples of false humility thoughts:

�The teacher is better than me so I do not deserve (i.e. the teacher is separate from me).�

�If I only have once awakening in my entire life I should be thankful.�

STOP these thoughts. Now! This thinking gets you stuck and limits your awakening. This is not humility. This is a conscious choice to stop the universe from turning you into a source of ongoing awakening which benefits all life everywhere.

Choose thoughts like this instead:

�The teacher and I and everyone else are all the same source love energy.�

�I welcome unconditional and unlimited awakening experiences for myself EVERY moment. Thank you to Life for this!�

Mistake #5 - Misreading the Clear Out

People who make BIG wishes often experience BIG set backs immediately. This is common and should never detour you. In fact, if your BIG wish is followed by a big challenge know that the universe is spinning wheels to get you to your goal in love and humility. Because you have some unfinished karma (areas in you consciousness in which you have not fully forgiven and come to love yourself or others) some challenges will appear. This is an opportunity for you to continue believing more in your dream than temporary setbacks. All achievers of anything can attest to this.

Mistake #6 - Thinking the Dream has to Come True in a Particular Way

The mystery is not always easy to figure out - especially in your own life.

In the last two decades of my life I have spent thousands of hours learning to understand

Life�s unconditional joy and magic and how to access it. I've studied psychology, religion, and spirituality in depth from many different viewpoints. I�ve obtained certificates, graduate degrees, a therapy license and all kinds of experience.

From what I've seen, the universe will block you if something better for you is in store. But you can only see these secret communications from life if you know what to look for.

Here's a story about a tragic event with a happy ending. A dear friend of mine who is in his seventies was severely mistreated by this person�s spouse (soon to be ex spouse). While the details are not important, this person asked his spouse to attend therapy and to heal all troubles. But the spouse went on a rampage with no end until their lives began to sound like a soap opera. At last this person decided to give up and file for divorce. This person�s sweet heart from high school, who lived across the country, called out of the blue, inviting him to a funeral of her beloved spouse of 50 years. To their surprise, my friend and his sweetheart of 50 years ago found new (old) love and are getting married, both in their seventies.

This is TRUE! So whenever things look down, get ready for a great gift to come your way. Whatever happened before is past. The gifts will keep coming if you keep your heart open to them. If your dream is blocked, assumed something even better is available!

Mistake #7 - Expecting A Circumstance To Make You Happy

A mistake I've seen people make is thinking that a relationship, money, health or awakening will change their lives and make them happy and fulfilled.

And, yes, situations and relationships make life memorable and full. But happiness comes only from within.

After years of pursuing all kinds of goals and finding every achieved goal was replaced by a feeling that I was still falling short and that I needed to achieve another goal I received the best advice ever. Now this is going to sound crazy to some of you, and profoundly true to others. I have worked with very famous and accomplished teachers. However, the being that first enlightened me into unconditional love, peace, joy and happiness was a little white dove named Jonah, who weighed only a few ounces, was blind, and held the entire universe in his heart. Into my ear he whispered, �If you want to be happy, be happy.� When he said this the awareness of being full and happy forever by choice filled me.
