How the Hep-Health Program Works
Hep-Health is a unique proprietary program that combines six different herbal supplements to be taken in alternating weeks that enhance their overall effect and promote maximum benefit.
The program is an easy to follow monthly regimen. It is recommended that you follow the program for 6 months. After this initial phase, if liver enzymes have returned to normal, a maintenance program phase is entered.

Geoff's Chilean Herbal Adventure.. The Remarkable Maqui Berry
I recently had the opportunity to visit Southern Chile to film for a production company, a pilot TV show to pitch to the networks. We were checking out a remarkable berry, unique to Chile, that has been shown to have the highest anti-oxidants in the world. It has a three times greater ORAC value than acai and goji berries). We followed the research to the Valdivia Veterinary School, where lab work and studies are showing great promise for the treatment of many cancers. We visited the processing factory and explored the amazing countryside where the Maqui berry grows wild. The backdrop was the incredible Mount Orsorno snow capped volcano. This berry has been used medicinally for hundreds of years by the Mapuche Indians.

The Mapuche Shamans
The Mapuche Shamans who are 95% women, (known as the Machi,) use Maqui in their medicinal and ceremonial lives. I paid a visit to the Makawe (Maquiwe) Intercultural Hospital. This is a unique intercultural program that focuses primarily on building a health care system where the power of traditional medicine, embodied in the Machi (traditional healer) is offered as an equal and complementary alternative to western medicine. Herbs are offered alongside drugs, the social workers triage between M.D's and the Machi. It was great to see the pride the Mapuche have at this achievement created within the conventional Chilean health-care system.
I also visited the Mapuche Pharmacia in Temuco where they collect and manufacture 41 classical Mapuche herbal formulas. Open to the general public, and referred to by a few practicing Mapuche herbalists such as Maria the "Naturalista." Maria is amazing, I visited with her in her small office in Temuco. She has practiced Mapuche herbal medicine since her childhood gift was acknowledged, (she's not a Shaman). Her loving Grandmotherly ways disarmed everyone and her stories of being shown how to use and prepare herbs for patients in her dream-life were accepted as 100% authentic even by our science-hardened film producer. I won't forget her.
It was so refreshing to see the ancient traditional roots of the Maqui Berry honored and being acknowledged by the modern scientific research. We'll be hearing alot about the maqui berry in the near future.

The Base of Our Hepo-Protect Formula Lowered Liver Cancer Incidence by 33%
The base of our Hepo-Protect formula lowered liver cancer incidence by 33%.
Two hundred and sixty patients with cirrhosis and Hepatitis B antigen status and liver function started treatment with Sho-saiko-to or control. Patients were followed for 5 years with bi-monthly alpha-fetopretein measurement and quarterly ultrasonography. Hepatocellular carcinoma diagnoses were confirmed by angiography, computed tomography and, where indicated, biopsy. Sho-saiko-to led to a one-third reduction in the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma (23% vs 34%) and a 40% reduction in death (24% vs 40%). The conclusion showed Sho-saiko-to has multifactorial action, both reducing the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma and acting as a hepatoprotective agent.

Diseases of the liver raise liver enzymes as a result of the destruction of liver cells. The Hep-Health Program is designed to prevent liver damage and thus lowers liver enzymes. In some cases, damage can be reversed and actual viral load can also be reduced for less than $4 a day.

Holiday Stress: 12 tips for coping
For some people, the holidays bring unwelcome guests — stress and depression. And it's no wonder. In an effort to pull off a perfect Hallmark holiday, you might find yourself facing a dizzying array of demands — work, parties, shopping, baking, cleaning, caring for elderly parents or kids on school break, and scores of other chores. So much for peace and joy, right?
The three main trigger points of holiday stress or depression:
Relationships. Relationships can cause turmoil, conflict or stress at any time. But tensions are often heightened during the holidays.
Finances. Like your relationships, your financial situation can cause stress at any time of the year. But overspending during the holidays on gifts, travel, food and entertainment can increase stress.
Physical demands. The strain of shopping, attending social gatherings and preparing holiday meals can wipe you out.
12 tips for coping
1. Acknowledge your feelings. If a loved one has recently died or you aren't able to be with your loved ones, realize that it's normal to feel sadness or grief.
2. Seek support. If you feel isolated or down, seek out family members and friends, or community.
3. Be realistic. As families change and grow, traditions and rituals often change as well. Hold on to those you can and want to. But accept that you may have to let go of others.
4. Set differences aside. Try to accept family members and friends as they are, even if they don't live up to all your expectations. Practice forgiveness.
5. Stick to a budget. Before you go shopping, decide how much money you can afford to spend on gifts .
6. Plan ahead. Set aside specific days for shopping, baking, visiting friends and other activities.
7. Learn to say no. Believe it or not, people will understand if you can't do certain projects or activities.
8. Don't abandon healthy habits. Don't let the holidays become a dietary free-for-all. .
9. Take a breather. Make some time for yourself.
10. Rethink resolutions. Resolutions can set you up for failure if they're unrealistic. Don't resolve to change your whole life to make up for past excess.
11. Forget about perfection.
12. Seek professional help if you need it.
