Tribal JAM at Lotus

Join us at Lotus Dance Studio for an afternoon of Tribal Bellydance.

This Sunday - March 2nd from 1:00-5:00pm.

Donation $10.00. 50% of the proceeds will be donated to a charity to Autism.

This dance jam promotes community and networking for all tribal dancers. The format is basically ATS / ITS style. While you don't have to be an experienced ATS/ITS Dancer, this will be the format we are doing. It's an open chorus with alternating leaders and followers in the center. How much or how little you dance is up to you. It is not intended to be a class or a workshop nor is it a performance. Come "lightly" dressed in costume (Skirt/Pantaloons/Choli,Melos).

It's just group improv dancing for the fun of it. No pressure! Maybe you'll pick up a few moves you never saw before, make some new friends, that's the idea!!! Dancers of all levels and styles are welcome to watch or participate. Potluck!!!! Bring a dish or beverage to share!

A Bellydance Workshop just for Kids

Sandy will teach her Faerie Belly Workshop complete with craft making and dance party.

Description: Children 5 to 11 will learn bellydance movements fused with Celtic dances from Ireland and Scotland, (the land of the faeries). Sandy will incorporate Faerie Lore and other touches from the Faerie World in this workshop filled with magic and specifically designed for children and for all styles. Don't forget to bring your Faerie Wings and Wands.

Pixie Dust, multi colored and textured yarns for the craft portion of the workshop will be provided.

What is it?
It's a combination of shimmies with isometric exercises that get your blood pumping, your heart rate racing and you sweating. You must bring water and a towel.
