Greetings
There are a few exciting new developments here at Christopher's Computers to share with you.
We'd like to welcome Ivan and Alex to our family business. Ivan comes to us with incredible knowledge of PC hardware and is a wizard at laptop repair. He also makes house calls and will be available to help you out with removing viruses, email issues, any type of upgrade you may request, etc. Alex has extensive training in all things Macintosh: both hardware and software. We hope you'll challenge Alex with any Mac issues you or your friends may have. With the addition of these two technology professionals, we will be able to answer to your computer needs in record time.
We also have a new office located in Woodfin. Our main focus will continue to be on-site service, as we understand it is important for many people to have the convenience of us coming to you, however, there will now be the option of you dropping off your computer to us. Dropping off and picking up computers to the office will be by appointment only, to ensure someone will be there.
It is our great hope that we will continue to evolve and grow to meet your needs with as much personal attention and professional assistance that you have come to rely on. We greatly appreciate the many positive personal testimonies you have shared with your friends and neighbors, which in turn widens the circle of relationships in our community. Thank you!

Spring Cleaning Special!
How often do you need to have your computer cleaned up? At least every six months, more often if you browse the internet regularly.
How often do you need to backup your data? We suggest that you backup your data as often as you can. Hard drives will fail, often without warning. Only backup what you're not willing to lose at a moment's notice.
Christopher's Computers is offering a Spring Cleaning Special, from now through the end of March. This includes a technician coming to your home or office, giving your computer a thorough cleaning, and backing up your data (up to 4gb) onto CD or DVD, for only $69.

Important Updates
Many people are deterred by pop-ups asking you to update your software. It is always important to fully read something before proceeding with a click of the mouse. Safe and important programs to update when asked are Windows Updates (this will look like a little yellow shield by the clock in the lower right of your screen) and Java Updates (an icon which resembles a cup of coffee).
Malware may (and attempts to) resemble other viable programs and many people have been fooled into clicking an acceptance of rogue scanners. Rogue scanners often offer "FREE ANTIVIRUS DOWNLOAD" or "FREE ONLINE SCAN" Be very wary of anything that is offered as "FREE". Your free screensaver may also come with a free trojan virus, and that's a hefty price for you to have to deal with.
