Blessings Everyone,

This past month has been a wonderful month of magic and entering into the mystery on deeper levels as I explored the ancient structures in Mexico. I was amazed and delighted at how much was communicated during my visits to the sacred sites. We arrived at Chichen Itza on the new moon and I was ecstatic to be welcomed with a sign from the goddess on that first evening. I came out of the hotel to behold a brilliant star, which I assumed was Venus, sitting the over the ancient observatory. Just under her feet the crescent of the new moon was rising. I already had a sense that this journey was taking me deeper into the mysteries of the moon and now I had my confirmation. The timing could not have been more perfect and my heart was singing. The air was electric and all my senses were heightened. It was a beautiful clear evening and as we watched the light show on the temple grounds I looked up at the brilliant starry night sky feeling that heaven was just a breath away.

Mexico was a delightful surprise. I had not expected to love it so much. The Mexican people were so helpful and lovely. The gently quiet way they would barter with me in the markets and the way hotel staff always had a smile and a friendly word. Just being around them made me feel good.

Travel can be so hectic and sometimes downright aggressive. There is a gentleness that seems to be permeating all of us and I noticed it in the airports and public places I moved through on this journey. Perhaps that is where my attention was, but it was there none the less. The collective is changing and it has now reached a point where it can be felt.

On February 14, 2009 the official dawning of the age of Aquarius , people all over the world joined together to add their, prayers, ceremonies and vibrations of love to the planet.  Our conscious contributions are helping on all levels and there is another way we can all participate. Again this year the WWF is focused on creating another Earth hour. Hopefully we can get  our municipalities to participate. I have visited places where they do not have street lights and you cannot believe how beautiful the night sky is when the lights are out.

 We need your help to get as many people signed up to Earth Hour as possible! Our goal this year is to have 1 billion people turn out their lights on March 28, at 8:30 p.m. for Earth Hour. Why? Because the more lights we turn off, the stronger our message will be that the world needs action on climate change now! Let governments around the globe know that we are ready to take action for our planet and we expect them to take action too.

The Mayan people think of Isla Mujeres (Island of Women) as the sanctuary of Ixchel, the goddess of love, fertility, moon and medicine. Although the warrior Gods figure prominently in Mayan tradition I was drawn to Isla Mujeres to connect with the Goddess.  Ixchel was commonly worshipped as the patron goddess of weaving and childbirth. There were shrines for Ixchel located on Cozumel and Isla Mujeres. Images of Ixchel are reputed to have filled these shrines, but there are none there today.

Mayan depictions of Ixchel show her as an old woman with jaguar claws, carrying a serpent and wearing a skirt decorated with crossed bones. Ixchel might also be depicted carrying a jug of water which she used to send floods or rainstorms. She is also portrayed as a female warrior carrying a spear and shied.

I sat looking at the pile of stones on Isla Mujeres. This pile of rumble on the south tip of the island, is reputed to be the last remaining vestiges of the Goddess shrine, because clay statues of the goddess had been found there long ago. I did not feel anything there. As I sat in silence she began to speak to me, not through the stones…. her words came on the wind.

“You will not find me here in these stones. These have been placed here to help people remember. Look to the sea… look to the horizon. I am the land, I am the manifest Goddess of many faces. I am the weaver. I am the matrix. You cannot find me here. I live as the vast sea, as the fishes and corals. I am the tides. I am the moon. I am the great mystery who is prayed to and prayed for.

I am the land beneath your feet. I am the love, which dances and plays you. I reside in the vastness of a woman’s heart. This is a place of remembering. Within you I AM “re membered”.  Within you I live.”

I scribed three more pages of the teaching from the Goddess and then left that place of remembering with a full heart. I will look forward to sharing the rest of the information with you at a later date...
