It is now December of 2009 and we are ending this year with so much progress! Besides organizing the first ever Animal Control Officer / Cruelty Investigator Certification course to be given in Puerto Rico, we continue to rescue the many defensless stray animals around the highways and beaches here. We are pushing for major change in animal welfare in Puerto Rico, but meanwhle, we have so many rescued pets who still need your support. We are a federal non-profit 501c(3) animal rescue organization specializing in educating the public and rescuing and rehabilitating companion animals of Puerto Rico for rehoming in the states. Because of the many puppies and dogs rescued during the oil refinery fire, all with medical needs, we have a huge and growing vet bill. We always need donations of medical supplies, animal care products, dog crates and kennels, doggie beds, heck - we even need a computer. We need your donations to help treat and sterilize our rescues, purchase pet food, medical supplies and dog crates, we need donations to be able to ship those pets ready for their new homes and to continue care for the 'kids" in various states of recuperation - We have 5 dogs at our mini shelter (my home) with heartworm, all which have been waiting for treatment. Your gift of $25 can provide 25 meals for a cat or dog and every penny of your donation goes to the animals that we rescue.
