| Learn Raindrop Technique & Infant Massage |
Interested in learning Raindrop Technique or Infant/Child Massage? I'm looking to schedule a class soon.
Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique brings structural and electrical alignment to the body in a relaxing and invigorating manner through the power of essential oils. Most of the raindrop oils are high in phenolic content to ward off potentially damaging viruses and bacteria while cleansing cellular receptor sites to enhance inter- and intra-cellular communication and improve overall bodily function. Some raindrop oils contain a variety of monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes to assist in deleting misinformation in the DNA and in reprogramming correct information in cellular memory to restore and maintain physical and emotional wellness.
Anyone can do Raindrop - the magic is in the oils.
You’ll need to bring a set of twin sheets, 2 bath towels (or 1 beach towel or bath sheet) and 1 hand towel.
It's a 5 hour class in which you will observe, give and receive a Raindrop session.
Cost:
Class only (you have your own YL oils) $75
Class with oils (oils provided for use in class) $105
Class plus a Raindrop Kit (your own set of essential oils and massage oils to use in class and take home, also includes an instructional DVD) $215.
You are welcome to take the Raindrop class as a refresher if you’ve taken it with me before. The cost to retake the class is free if you have your oils and $30 if you don’t.
Infant/Child Massage
It is becoming well known in the west that touch is essential to human life. Studies and historical research are showing that babies in orphanages who are deprived of touch fail to thrive, and in fact have been known to die from lack of tactile stimulation. The need for touch reaches far beyond emotional comfort, and affects even the development of our brains. Once believed in the reverse, we now understand that neurological pathways are laid out from the skin in. This means that external touch is a foundational element in establishing neurological pathways to our brains.
Join me and learn a very gentle Thai massage routine appropriate for children one month to at least five years old.
Yes, you can attend this class before birth (without an infant/child). In this case the routine will be performed/practiced on a doll.
Please bring a blanket to lay your infant on.
Class length is approximately one hour. Cost for a group class is $30 per individual or parent couple.

With the growing popularity of alternative medicine, many seniors are turning to massage. Studies show that massage reduces chronic pain, and it’s a great stepping stone for seniors who want to start or continue a regular exercise regimen. If you are still reluctant to try massage therapy, take a closer look at the countless benefits.
The circulatory system starts to lose efficiency as we age, massage helps to reverse this. It increases blood circulation which increases the amount of nutrients that reach muscle tissue. Some of the other benefits offered by regular massage: relief from aches and pains, more confidence, better sleep, and increased flexibility.
Massage therapists are easy to locate. You can find them in spas, work environments, hotels, and sports clubs. Another option is home massage; many practitioners serve individual clients on a freelance basis. Home massage is a good option for seniors because it is cheaper than going to a spa and the session takes place in the comfort of your own home.
Your practitioner should specialize in senior massage. Most seniors require lighter touch and shorter sessions. Open the lines of communication and inform the therapist of your aches, pains and health history (broken bones, general health problems, medications) so they can make the session as effective as possible.

Intuition is sometimes defined as the sense of knowing something without any empirical evidence. To some this is a divine source of knowing, while to others intuition is about listening to instinct. Everyone experiences flashes of their intuition from time to time – those are the “ah-ha” moments of understanding. In fact, most people walk around actively inviting their intuition to step in. This is what you are doing when you wonder, whether you are wondering about people, places, facts, ideas, decisions, etc.
In order to allow your intuition to guide you, you simply need to relax and listen to yourself. What some refer to as a gut reaction is often your mind trying to tell you something. In fact, the term gut reaction is very telling – oftentimes, large emotions will have a physical affect on our bodies. Our experiences of joy, sorrow, elation, anger, and fear are all physical experiences. If you have a physical reaction to something, listen to what that tells you, rather than ignore it for what you rationally know is right. Oftentimes, if you take time to honor and examine your initial emotion, you'll find that what you intellectually desire isn't actually counter-indicated.
The more you practice opening to your intuition, the easier it will flow through you. When you first start consciously calling upon your intuition, make a time and space to do so. Find a place to sit quietly and close your eyes. Then, call up the idea that you want to find clarity on and allow thoughts and ideas to flow into your mind. You don't need to follow any given train of thought, simply be open to hearing what occurs to you.

Biofeedback is a method which teaches subjects to control bodily functions such as: heart rate, blood pressure, headache, pain, and muscle tension through a process which may include conditioning, feedback instrumentation, behavior modification, and adaptation mechanisms. Biofeedback therapy is one alternative medicine discipline available to help patients deal with ongoing medical conditions without the invasive and sometimes harmful aspects of surgical procedures or prescription drugs.
Biofeedback therapy feeds real time signals about bodily functions back to patients, so they can be taught to alter bodily activities to minimize or eliminate symptoms. Biofeedback has effectively treated a range of ailments ranging from attention disorders to chronic pain and muscle disorders. With biofeedback, the individual can increase awareness and learn self-regulation of some bodily functions.
Scientists are not able to explain exactly how or why biofeedback works, but there does seem to be at least one common thread: most people who benefit from biofeedback have conditions that are either brought on - or made worse - by stress. For this reason, many scientists believe that relaxation is the key to successful biofeedback therapy. When a body is repeatedly stressed, internal processes like blood pressure become overactive. But when guided by a biofeedback therapist, a person can learn to lower his or her blood pressure through relaxation techniques and mental exercises. When a person successfully relaxes and lowers their blood pressure, the feedback signals reflect this accomplishment. This acts as affirmation and encouragement for the person's continued efforts.
In a normal biofeedback session, electrodes are attached to the skin. These electrodes then feed information to a small monitoring box that translates the physiological responses into a tone that varies in pitch, a visual meter that varies in brightness, or a computer screen that varies the lines moving across a grid. The biofeedback therapist then leads the person in mental exercises. Through trial and error, people can soon learn to identify and control the mental activities that will bring about the desired physical changes. Ideally, after an initial intense course of treatment, your therapist will help you develop a transition plan so that you wean yourself from office visits and move toward a home-based routine.

Quotable Inspirations

Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something - your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life. Steve Jobs
Crystallize your goals. Make a plan for achieving them and set yourself a deadline. Then, with supreme confidence, determination and disregard for obstacles and other people's criticisms, carry out your plan. Paul Meyer
