SONG IN YOUR HEART: THE STORY OF THE SEARCH FOR THE LOST NOTE
|
|
|
released December 2008
House of Lueder Publishing
Journalist and northern California native Bret Lueder, author of over 700 articles on music, spirituality, magic and alternative history in magazines such as UFO Magazine, Magical Blend Magazine and the Chico News & Review, has released his first book called Song in your Heart: The Story of the Search for the Lost Note.
It is about the role of the roots reggae artist in terms of what Lueder describes as “a global struggle for the control of human consciousness.”
What would you do if the enemy you are fighting controls all the weapons? What would you do if you and your people have had the economic and psychological “screws” turned on them from every angle? How can anyone fight an enemy who has stripped every physical manner of a pertinent defense?
According to many roots reggae artists, the only way to find peace in this world; the only way to fight an enemy who has fostered an atmosphere of “no hope,” is to fight with words, sound and power. In other words, music. More specifically, it is the usage of the heartbeat “riddim,” known around the world as the Nyabinghi. What was once a physical battle drumming pattern in times past has now become “the” spiritually-enlightening drumming pattern, conducive to altered states of consciousness, which distinguishes roots reggae from other similarly-styled genres.
Knowing this prompts several questions, among them: Have you ever wondered why music has such a profound effect on a human mind, body and soul? Are there deeper intentions behind the reasons roots reggae artists perform their music and sing their songs, other than to entertain? What is it about the tiny and seemingly insignificant Caribbean island of Jamaica that has made it the focal point of colonialism and elitism for over 400 years?
And why is reggae music so popular worldwide? Could there be a common link between all of these question? Join Bret Lueder on his journey as he follows the threads of synchronicity and travels the dusty roads of scholarly intrigue in an attempt to answer these questions. Along the way, Lueder has uncovered evidence to suggest that is there a new, emerging faction within the Rastafari movement which do not see how one keeps their hair, or who one sleeps with, among other things, as prerequisites for acceptance—these are what Lueder identifies as the “roots reggae Rastas.”
These are individuals who are not only leading the way for social, psychological and spiritual evolution within Third World , but the author identifies them also as the “unidentified” faction of what Paul H. Ray and Sherry Anderson describe as “cultural creatives.” CC’s are people who think and live in ways which are conducive to the longevity of the human race and are spearheading what anthropologists call a “cultural revitalization movement.” This is where the values, morays and customs of a society which help to get that society to where it is today, are no longer working for it in terms of sustainability.
A new way to live is needed. Ray and Anderson have argued in their book Cultural Creatives that statistically there is no one dominant CC faction which stands out from all the others. But Lueder argues that there is. They are the roots reggae Rastas and they are leading the way for all of the human race in evolutionary progress and change for the better of all on Earth. They are providing the example for others to follow and are teaching the world about it through music. Song in your Heart: the Story of the Search for the Lost Note tackles these issues and more as Lueder delves into the real information behind world history, global, “politricks” and the mysteries which will unlock the human spirit.

SIERRA NEVADA - MENDOCINO COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS - DON'T MISS THIS FESTIVAL!
|
|
|
Just Added: Gregory Isaacs Jahdann Blakkamore Lloyd Brown Messenjah Selah
In the Kidz Zone: Asheba
In the Dancehall: Comanche Hi-Power
On June 18, 19, & 20, 2010 Mendocino county welcomes the 17th annual Sierra Nevada World Music Festival (SNWMF). Created as an annual summer solstice and world peace celebration, the Sierra Nevada World Music Festival has been called "life changing" for many of its regular attendees the majority of which come as campers, committing to a three-day bonanza for the senses. Its name originates from its original festival location in the Sierra Nevada mountains. The event takes place for the fifth consecutive year at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville, CA.
This year's SNWMF lineup features some of music's greats in world, roots, vintage, dancehall, modern reggae and ska artists and sound system DJ's. Bands are scheduled in tandem on the two stages, and conclude with a fire dance performance on what is known as the Valley stage, a site that is built from the ground up in the Grandstand area of the fairgrounds. The show's varied offerings for children including music performers a parade, and opportunities for participation in free drum, dance, and yoga sessions throughout the weekend make it possible for cultural exploration on many levels.
The Village stage and Kidz Zone host Children's educational and multi-cultural entertainment. Sageman Drums workshops take place throughout the weekend and are open to all ages in the Drum Temple. There is a full program of activities designated for the younger generation with kid performers, Arts & Crafts projects are underway throughout the weekend and a daily Kids Parade that will be led by the wonderful Samba Stilt Circus, a troupe of stilt performers.
The festival hosts several non-profit organizations and a diverse of ethnic food vendors from Indian to Ethiopian as well as vegetarian and sustainable raw food vendors. Crafts in the international bazaar in the village area are curated to present a unique array of items from around the world and a zero waste initiative is vigorously pursued to manage the impact of the festival on the environment.
ABOUT THE ARTISTS: Baaba Maal, the great Senegalese World music superstar will make a rare West Coast appearance on SNWMF '10 as the Friday night headliner. Baaba Maal has had a long and varied career and his latest recording is entitled Television. In December 2009, Baaba attended the Climate Change summit in Copenhagen as the climate change ambassador for the Africa Talks Climate initiative.
Don Carlos is a reggae artist whose uplifting reggae music and countenance have inspired crowds for over a quarter century. Don was born and raised in one of the most deprived regions of Western Kingston, Jamaica, in a district notoriously known as Waterhouse, launching his singing career back in 1973 as one of the original members of the roots vocal group Black Uhuru. Since that time, he has been in demand as a solo artist on stages around the world. Don's latest release is entitled, Changes.
Barrington Levy is a driving force in reggae music and remains a perennial favorite and one of the most recognizable vocalists in reggae music history. His latest single, "Watch Dem" is a collaboration with rap legend Snoop Dogg and recent rap sensation Mims and it is a version of his song "Murderer" a classic tune with a strong warning against violence.
Alborosie, born Alberto D'Ascola is a reggae artist from Italy, who has resided in Kingston, Jamaica for the past decade. He moved to Jamaica to be close to reggae music's roots and Rastafari culture. There, he started working as a sound engineer and producer and collaborating with the legendary Specialist. Sierra Nevada marks his first summer reggae U.S. festival appearance. Alborosie is touring in celebration of his current release - Escape from Babylon to the Kingdom of Zion. Presenting world music in its varied forms from bands that span the globe is a tradition the festival upholds each year, distinguishing it from any other outdoor festival in North America. As drummer and musical director of Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s band, Africa 70 from 1968 to 1979, Tony Allen was one of the primary co-founders of the genre of Afrobeat music. Fela once stated that, "without Tony Allen, there would be no Afrobeat."
From New Zealand come Fat Freddy's Drop, a seven-piece band whose musical style has been characterized as any combination of dub, reggae, soul, jazz, rhythm and blues, and techno. Also on the bill are Toubab Krewe, an American instrumental band which fuses the music of Mali with American musical styles (particularly those of the Southern United States). Their new album is entitled: Live at the Orange Peel. From Northern California come Sambadá who preserve the authentic flavor of Brazil's samba tradition, mixing it with funk music, and from Senegal is Youssoupha Sidibe, a master kora player and mystic Sufi chanter. And of Rubblebucket, someone once said that if "Brooklyn and New Orleans had a love child it would be conceived while listening to Rubblebucket." With female lead vocals and hard hitting grooves, festival-goers will hear why this group received the 2009 Boston Music Award for Live Act of the Year.
Adding to the hybrid mix are Rey Fresco, a group from Ventura, California that performs an eclectic mix of rock, reggae, world, soul and Latin music and features a 36 string arpa jarocha Veracruz harp as one of their lead instruments. Each year the vintage reggae portion of the Sierra Nevada lineup is like another chapter in a "reggae hall of fame" presentation. This year the Soul Syndicate reunites as a group who were one of the '70's most in demand touring and recording groups. The festival will feature original members renowned bassist George "Fully" Fullwood, Tony Chin, original "flyers" style rhythm guitarist and Santa Davis, one of the world's most remarkable drummers.
The Skatalites, the original ska band come to SNWMF with close to forty years of instrumental firepower, along with Ken Boothe, an artist whose energy and evokes the soul singers of the '60's and Big Youth whose MC-style over classic rhythms set the stage for what is modern hip-hop.
Roots reggae's reigning queen Marcia Griffiths was part of the I-Threes, the harmony trio that supported Bob Marley. She has had an extensive career in her own right with the standard "Electric Slide" as part of her repertoire as well as several other reggae chart-toppers.
Johnny Clarke was the new life-blood of the Rockers reggae era, becoming one of Jamaica's biggest artists, inspiring his contemporaries and promoting the message of Rasta both with cultural messages and lovers refrains. His music fortified what is possibly the most crucial era of reggae, bringing songs like "Move out of Babylon," "Roots Natty Congo," "Rock With Me Baby," & "Get Up And Fight For Your Rights" to the massive.
As part of his group The Maytones, Vernon Maytone had his biggest hit with "Money Worries" that was featured on the film soundtrack: Rockers. Prince Alla has had a career that spans over forty years, and has continued to be in demand in the digital era with roots reggae producers eager to record his unique melancholy singing tone and Rasta messaging.
A consistent principle of Sierra Nevada World Music Festival is the emphasis on the promotion of positive messages. This year the festival presents Playing For Change who've engaged audiences on screen via a PBS special and in the live setting in promotion of their non-profit foundation's release that features global matchings of street musicians and their mainstream counterparts. Playing For Change traveled around the world to places such as New Orleans, Barcelona, South Africa, India, Nepal, the Middle East and Ireland, and, using a mobile recording studio, had local musicians perform the same song, interpreted into their own style that and included contributions from artists such as Keb' Mo', Bono & Manu Chao.
Making their second appearance on the SNWMF stage are Rootz Underground, Jamaica's next generation of musicians whose star continues to rise and are on tour in celebration of their second studio album, Gravity. The group released a full length live recording as a free download that over 60,000 fans have received to date. The group employ a dynamic combination of a contemporary roots/rock sound, universal messages and energetic, compelling stage shows to go beyond a niche definition - reaching across reggae boundaries into pop music realms.
Also appearing are Ooklah the Moc from Hawaii, an American band with a huge following that play quality roots-reggae originals. And from Kansas City, comes Queen Makedah whose smoky vocals and roots stylings represent the healing properties of reggae music.
The culture of the soundsystem and the vibrant, prolific nature of Jamaica's reggae industry and music movement are explored each year at the festival through a wide array of recordings. This year when the sun goes down and the music on the two stages concludes, the fairgrounds' exhibition hall will be filled with the sounds of two of the world's greatest DJ sound systems including perennial SNWMF selector, Rory Gilligan of Kingston's Stone Love Movement and David Rodigan (SKY FM, BBC Radio) of the United Kingdom. Also mixing in the dancehall will be DJ Ras Kush representing the New York City soundsystem scene and Comanche High Power representing the Northern California reggae DJ community.

THE LIONS - BOOKED TO PLAY UCLA’S JAZZREGGAE FESTIVAL, TOPANGA DAYS COUNTRY FAIR AND IRIE REGGAE FESTIVAL
|
|
|
Supporting Ziggy Marley & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley
Release New Recordings
“The Lions band which consists of highly decorated musicians from Los Angeles, are one of the best homegrown roots reggae groups on circuit at the moment and they performed brilliantly as usual.”
– Talawah Journals (Ragga Muffins Festival 2010 review)
(May 19, 2010) Fresh from lending a hand at the Haiti Relief Concert in Los Angeles, supporting New Zealand’s buzz-worthy Fat Freddy’s Drop, and sharing the bill with Gregory Isaacs, The Mighty Diamonds and Tarrus Riley at the 29th Annual Ragga Muffins Festival, The Lions are gearing up for a busy spring and summer concert season.
The Lions will perform on two popular festivals this Memorial Day Weekend. Sunday, May 30 will bring the 37th Annual Topanga Days Country Fair in Topanga Canyon, CA where they’ll be joined by legends Ziggy Marley and The Meters Experience featuring Leo Nocentelli, among top local blues, rock and folk bands. Visit www.topangadays.com for details on this is three-day, family affair.
Then on Monday, May 31, “Reggae Day,” The Lions will have the honor of showcasing their roots-meets-dancehall style at the 24th Annual JazzReggae Festival in Los Angeles, alongside the popular combination of Nas & Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Barrington Levy, Etana, Cham, among others. Held on UCLA’s Intramural Field, this massive event is expected to draw 30,000+ fans. More information on this festival, including on Sunday’s “Jam Day” is available at: http://jazzreggaefest.com/
Rounding out the summer will be the 2nd Annual Irie Reggae Festival in Long Beach, CA on Sunday, August 29. Headliners for this outdoor event on the bay include Beres Hammond, Culture featuring Kenyatta Hill, Inner Circle and Pato Banton, with the The Lions giving it a lively kick-start. Complete details on this two-day festival are available at: www.iriefest.net
Additional headlining and support slot shows for this summer will soon be added. In the meantime, for more Lions fixes, several members bring their DJ skills to Bar One in North Hollywood, CA every third Thursday of the month as part of Reggae On Wax Thursdays featuring The Lions Soundsystem as well as resident selectors DJ Fajitas and Man Like Devin from The Expanders. This is a free, 21+ event. www.bar1noho.com
Given the popularity of the last year’s 7” 45 vinyl single “This Generation” b/w “New Girl,” The Lions are now releasing the next two new original recordings. The combination of MC/actor Black Shakespeare and crooner Malik Moore shine once again on “Roll It ‘Round,” while singer/actor Alex Desert rides the rocksteady rhythm on “Pieces of a Man.” This vinyl will also be available in limited quantities on their Lions Bread label starting Memorial Day Weekend.
The Lions are Los Angeles’ premier all-star reggae band. The result of an impromptu recording session by some of the scene’s most soulful and notable musicians and singers, The Lions created grooves that went beyond Jamaican music by combining new and traditional rhythms, and dub mixing mastery with the global sounds of Ethiopia and Colombia. Their album Jungle Struttin’ was released on Ubiquity Records in 2008. With four vocalists backed by eight (and sometimes nine) musicians, their live set transcends any particular genre but is best described as a healthy mix of vocal and dub tracks, balancing classic reggae and soul cuts as well as new originals. The Lions have shared the stage with Gregory Isaacs, Sly & Robbie, Michael Rose, The Abyssinians, Tarrus Riley, Fat Freddy’s Drop, Antibalas, Hepcat, The Aggrolites, Bedouin Soundclash, Breakestra, Connie Price & the Keystones and Dengue Fever. The Lions repertoire has been heard on USA’s hit series Burn Notice (“Hot No Ho”, “Thin Man Skank,” “Givin Up Food For Jah”), the Funk Aid For Africa compilation (“Jungle Struttin’”) and the Box of Funq compilation (“Hot No Ho”).

Chapter Seven
Leaving Cudjoe and Philip alone to catch up on old times, Maria decided to join Drew and the other children for tales of Anansi, the West African spider-tricksters, being held in the Kindah. As she moved through the village, she found it very difficult to see where she was going. The moon, obscured by a combination of dark clouds and a light mist that blanketed the rain forest, provided little light to Accompong, making her journey toward the Kindah an arduous one. Halfway there, she approached an elderly Maroon warrior who was sitting quietly near the entrance to his hut. It was pitch dark so Maria could not make out his physical appearance except that he was dressed in thick robe. As she drew nearer, she saw that he was holding a chalice in his hands, a bamboo pipe used for smoking the sacred herb. The man took a draw from it, then exhaled, puffing spoke which emitted a peculiar aroma into the night air. Maria, recognizing the unique odor, quickly averted her eyes as she quietly walked passed the man, hoping not to bother him. Moving forward, she then glanced down at her watch, out of pure habit, to check the time. Straining in the dark, she made out the time to be eleven-fifteen. At that moment, she stopped in her tracks and began to chuckle.
“Why am I looking at my watch?” she thought, shaking her head.
Though this was Maria’s first trip to Accompong, she had traveled to other rain forests around the world, including the Amazon. She knew that living primitively usually meant no need to keep track of time. She casually removed the watch from her left wrist.
“I don’t think I’ll be needing you anytime soon,” she said staring at the watch for a moment before placing it inside her shirt pocket. She quickly continued through the village and when she reached the Kindah, she found Drew and the other children gathered around Quashie, one of the eldersmen of the village and perhaps the greatest storytellers of the Maroons.
To hear Anansi tales told by Quashie, was a much anticipated event in Accompong. No one could tell a story better than Quashie and for the Maroons, they likened themselves to the spider; a creature that was smaller in size to its adversary yet cunning enough to outwit its opponent as well as survive any insurmountable odds it was confronted with. Watching Drew from a distance, Maria was extremely delighted to see how quickly her son was able to make friends among the other children in the village, something she thought would take more time to do.
To be continued …,

REGGAE SUMFEST MOVES AHEAD DESPITE CHALLENGES
|
|
|
Johnny Gourzong
THE PROMOTERS of Reggae Sumfest, Summerfest Promotions, has indicated that despite the challenges facing the event, the annual festival will take place from July 18-24 at Catherine Hall, St James. The organisers are also appealing to stakeholders to work with them in finding creative solutions to the challenges to stage the 18th edition of the 'Greatest Reggae Festival on Earth'.
Johnny Gourzong, executive producer of the festival, cites reduced sponsor support and increased production and artiste fees as some of the challenges being faced. He said, "Reggae Sumfest is important to Jamaica's tourism and impacts positively on the economy and despite reduced sponsorship, we decided it was important to beat the odds and host the festival this year."
Traditionally, Reggae Sumfest has hosted a mixture of local and international acts that have distinguished the event as an eclectic mix of good music and performers. In light of the fiscal challenges, the organisers said they gave great consideration to omitting international acts this year. However, after further consideration, the stakeholders agreed that international acts should be included on this year's line-up as the mix of genre and cultures is the essence of the event and such a cut back would adversely affect the marketability of the show.
Reggae Sumfest is an annual event that provides an avenue for new and established local talent to demonstrate their showmanship to an international audience as well as a wide cross section of the Jamaican society. The brainchild of a group of Montego Bay businessmen, Reggae Sumfest was first held in 1993. The show has traditionally featured top reggae and dancehall performers, but hip hop and R&B acts like Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Ja Rule, Boyz II Men and Lionel Richie have also made appearances on the Sumfest stage.
The festival kicks off on July 18 with a beach party. The three-day live event begins on July 22.

KINGSTON, Jamaica (AP) — Security forces gained a tenuous hold on the slum stronghold of a powerful reputed drug lord, while Jamaica’s embattled leader promised an independent investigation into the roughly 26 civilian deaths during the operation.
Thousands of police and soldiers have stormed the Tivoli Gardens ghetto in search of Christopher “Dudus” Coke, who is wanted by the U.S. on drug and gun charges. Three days of street battles with heavily armed supporters of the underworld boss had claimed at least 30 lives by late Tuesday.
The fight with gang gunmen has spilled into troubled areas just outside the capital, Kingston, and complaints are rising that innocents are being caught in indiscriminate gunfire.
In a Tuesday address to legislators, Prime Minister Bruce Golding indicated he was taken aback by the intensity of the assault in the heart of West Kingston’s ramshackle slums, which he represents in Jamaica’s Parliament.
“The government deeply regrets the loss of lives, especially those of members of the security forces and innocent, law-abiding citizens caught in the crossfire. The security forces were directed to take all practical steps to avoid casualties as much as possible,” he said.
Golding vowed that the “most thorough investigations” would be undertaken to examine all deaths caused by security forces, which have developed a reputation for slipshod investigations and for being too quick on the trigger. In the same speech, he also said security agents would go after “criminal gunmen in whatever community they may be ensconced.”
Government officials told reporters all the dead civilians in West Kingston were men. But distressed people inside the slums who called local radio stations asserted there had been indiscriminate shootings during the all-out assault that police and soldiers launched Monday.
Security forces on Tuesday only permitted two government investigators and Red Cross staff to enter the Tivoli Gardens area, where supporters of Coke began massing last week after Golding dropped his nine-month refusal to extradite him to the U.S. Coke has ties to Golding’s Labour party, and Tivoli Gardens delivers significant votes for it.
Coke was still at large despite the assault on his stronghold, National Security Minister Dwight Nelson said.
The gunmen fighting for Coke say he provides services and protection to the poor West Kingston community — all funded by a criminal empire that seemed untouchable until the U.S. demanded his extradition.
Coke has built a loyal following and turned the neighborhood into his stronghold. U.S. authorities say he has been trafficking cocaine to the streets of New York City since the mid-1990s, allegedly hiring island women to hide the drugs on themselves on flights to the U.S.
Members of Coke’s Shower Posse and affiliated gangs began barricading his stronghold last week following Golding’s abrupt reversal on Coke’s extradition on drug- and gunrunning.
Golding had stonewalled the U.S. request for nine months, straining relations. A U.S. State Department report earlier this year questioned the Caribbean island’s reliability as an ally in the war against drugs, and Golding’s stance drew domestic opposition that threatened his political career.
The government imposed a monthlong state of emergency for the tense Kingston area Sunday, after an eruption of violence by gangsters that security forces called unprovoked.
The violence has not touched the tourist meccas along the island’s north shore, more than 100 miles (160 kilometers) from Kingston, or the nearby Montego Bay airport. However, Jamaican officials said they were very concerned about the impact on tourism.
“The entire Caribbean and the world is trying to pull itself out of a recession. This kind of hit, if one can call it that, comes at a very, very bad time,” said Wayne Cummings, president of Jamaica’s Hotel and Tourist Association.
Along the pitted and trash-strewn streets of West Kingston that few tourists ever see, residents say Coke is feared for his strong-arm tactics, but also is known for helping slum dwellers with grocery bills, jobs and school fees.
Coke’s influence extends well beyond the capital. Police say gunmen from gangs that operate under the umbrella of his Shower Posse elsewhere on the island have been flocking to his defense.
U.S. federal prosecutors in New York say drug traffickers in the United States routinely sent Coke gifts, including clothes, accessories and car parts in recognition of his influence over the American cocaine trade.
“Mr. Coke is a strongman whose tentacles spread far and wide,” said the Rev. Renard White, a leader of a Justice Ministry peace initiative that works in Jamaica’s troubled communities.

PLEASE HELP BIRTHDAY GIRL, LAURA HAYKEL FROM THE REGGAE FESTIVAL GUIDE RAISE MONEY FOR IMPORTANT CHARITY
|
|
|
|
Greetings Family & Friends,
I am raising money for the African Birth Collective for my birthday. I chose this cause because I believe in the power and energy of it to continue to create a beautiful shift for the LIVITY and peace of mind/heart/body/soul & spirit for the people of Senegal (a country I love) in West Afrika as a whole and beyond.
The African Birth Collective is in the process of raising funds for a very important project translating "A Book for Midwives" into French to be distributed throughout the Francophone countries of West Afrika. The need our support so please see below for more information and HELP TO SUPPORT THIS CAUSE:
African Birth Collective is a non-profit organization that has grown out of the need for greater safety and empowerment of African women in their birth experiences and a desire to bridge the gap between modern and traditional midwifery.
Our organization brings medical supplies and educational materials to maternity clinics in Senegal, West Africa, and we run international midwifery exchange programs to share knowledge and skills. Our goals are: the reduction of infant and maternal mortality rates, greater knowledge of HIV and STD prevention, empowerment of women in their reproductive health, expanding knowledge and skills of direct entry midwives, or matrones, and wider distribution of necessary medical supplies. We are especially concerned about the increased medicalization of birth. This trend leads to overuse, and inappropriate use, of oxytocic drugs and unnecessary procedures that can lead to greater complications and endangerment.
We support the understanding that birth is a natural process, not a medical pathology. We also explore and embrace the elements of traditional midwifery that are safe, nurturing, personal and empowering, and seek to marry them with the best of what modern technology can offer us.
If you would like to make a donation go to the link below:
GIVE THANKS AND PRAISES... WHAT A BEAUTIFUL WAY TO CELEBRATE!
Love,
~Laura
ps... Please pass this along to anyone you know who might be interested in supporting this cause!

BABA KAMBA : : BABA E.P
|
|
The Legend of Baba
Far, far away in deepest space, in the remotest corner of the Universe, lies a distant planet called "BABALAND".
Incredibly the wise people of BABALAND managed to find us long before we found them.
To undertake the perilous journey to Earth they chose a Man who goes by the name of BABA!
He departed from his Planet armed only with his guitar and good intentions.
In his voyages around our planet he experiences many different realities and situations: from sitting in a jail cell in the USA to partying in Russia, from trekking alone in the baking Bedouin desert to sailing on a crazy Irish ship to Jamaica.
It is because he regarded mankind with such an innocent eye that he survived.
With a good deal of luck, charm, karma and good connections we have finally managed to unearth some very rare footage and recordings of BABA’s famous journey.
These are, without doubt, a major piece in the puzzle of Evolution - of Mankind in particular and the Universe in general. Ladies & Gentlemen we are proud to present, for your enjoyment, the story and music of the one and only Baba!!!

Between me and God Written by Selvin ‘Ewan’ McRae www.flavasquadent.com / reggaedjewan@yahoo.com The purpose of my life on earth is to give god praise After three scores plus ten, it’s the final stage And if I should pass away at an early age Don’t you worry about me, please don’t be afraid I will be gone, but in his arms I’ll be Away from all evil and sickness, i will be free Enjoying his kingdom on those streets of gold Now pay attention as my story is been told Don’t sit and cry; please don’t do that over me Because the road I’ve trod, is everyone’s journey For you all I’ll wait, yes I’ll wait patiently So don’t let me down, because we are family Follow the commandments, it’s the only way Recognize him as your savior while you pray Continuously hail him, whether night or day He is our creator; he had made us from the clay Been with the father stirs up so much joy From a distance I feel it, yes, from a far Brilliantly his love glows like the morning star Worry about me no more, am wrapped up in Jah arms
