Omar will play a 9-foot Fazioli grand piano in the intimate, new showroom of Piedmont Piano Company in Oakland. Come hear and meet Omar and Abbos in a unique, relaxed environment. Abbos Kosimov was born in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, into a highly musical family. He studied traditional Uzbek music and culture throughout his childhood, finishing his education in 1994 at the Tashkent State Institute of Culture. Mr. Kosimov has dedicated his career to the preservation and development of the Uzbek percussive arts. He has collaborated with Stevie Wonder, Zakir Hussain, Kronos Quartet, Simon Shaheen, and Hassan Hakmoun. He moved to the United States in 2005, and currently lives in Sacramento. $20.00 donation suggested. Limited seating.
