Kids aren't ready to think about school but we are!  Time to round up the back packs, school supplies and new clothes.  To help hundreds of kids in our programs we are accepting donations to fulfill these needs. We will be using funds to purchase supplies by the box at Staples during their annual 1 cent sale and also supplement the gifts in kind donations.  Send your donations or let us know how you or your group can help!

After years of commitment to providing excellent service, implementing creative innovations to programs and building a strong relationship with members of the food bank, Executive Director Swami Durga Das has been asked to become an active member of the Food Bank's advisory board. Swami Durga Das knows how to set plans into action and will help provide the food bank with first hand knowledge of what is happening on the streets of food insufficient communities and help create solutions to the problem of hunger.

The month of July was a lean month for food acquisition.  Major food sources including the Food Bank for NYC and City Harvest have been experiencing decreased donations which makes our shelves lean.  We can use additional cash and gift in kinds donations to keep our food supplies at a level that meets our demand.  Thanks for any help you can give.
