Extending our Hand to New Families

Twenty year old Joseph recently joined our group. He was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Muliform in the spring of 2010.  Joseph lives in Cheney with his mom Cindy, and two brothers Jonathan and Jessiah. He likes sports including soccer, football, and basketball. He regularly cheers for the Seahawks, Manchester United and Gonzaga.

Braylin turned one year old this past fall. He was diagnosed with Retinoblastoma in 2009 and until this past December had been receiving treatment in Portland, OR. Braylin likes to play with cars and anything else he can get his hands on. He lives in Montana with his parents Dan and Heather as well as his two siblings Shayna and Brindan.

Need Help with your heating bills?

We have received funds from Avista to help families with heating assistance this winter.  The program is open to all ACCOIN families with Avista utilities who have a need.

Please see the Avista Heating Assistance Request form for guidelines and priorities. This is not restricted to families whose child is still in treatment.

If you are not an Avista customer and your child is still in treatment and you need help, you can apply for our Emergency Funds assistance.

Working together to support the cancer survivor at school.

Spokane Parent Groups getting an overhaul

The new year brings a time of reflection and assessments. To better meet families’ needs, we are reassessing our current services. Our monthly Support Group meetings (hospital and bereaved parents) in Spokane is changing.

The Tri-Cities group is changing their schedule.

Spokane Parent Group that meets the third Thursday of the month and the Bereaved Parents Group that meets the second Thursday are temporarily suspended.

Watch for more news.
