Last month's General Sail meeting was well attended, particularly since it was the first one in a very long time. But who was there? All the old salts! Where were the newbies? Where were all the newly rated centerboard sailors? And all the unrated ones? These meetings aren't just for keelboat sailors! And if you're only 'rail-meat', this meeting's for you, too!
These General Sail meetings are for ALL ASI sailors! So pay attention, all level one ASI sailors, rate & unrated! Your absence was conspicuous!
It was nice to see the membership in a comfortable setting. Members shared thoughts and ideas regarding ASI's future, as well as day-to-day information about boat usage, condition and possible upgrades or changes they'd like to see. I want to personally extend an invitation to all level 1's (they were called 'skippers', back in AYH days!). You're very important to us! Our organizations future relies heavily on your ideas. Your voice regarding policies, preferences and costs will influence our direction.
