6TH Annual River Rafting with Wiley E Waters!

Fathers Day, June 19th, 2011 join us for our 6th Annual River Rafting adventure with Wiley E Waters. This family event is for ages 4 and up. Click here for informational flyer and details.

Summer Party 2011

 

Saturday July 23, 2011 -

Our Summer Party is also our Annual Membership Meeting. Remember - this is YOUR organization. Invitations coming soon.

 

Our carnival is coming along nicely - thanks Elaine Williams for heading this up.

 

So far: games, lots of prizes, a jumping castle, a water slide, snow cones, lunch provided by Applebees, your favorite mascots, karaoke, and lots of fun.

 

And at the end of the day, the Inland Empire Motorcycle Coalition will end their annual ride for kids with cancer at Calvary. Parking lot rides in the sidecars will also be available.

 

 

Extending our Hand to New Families

 

Three year old Landon was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma in November of 2009 but has just “officially” joined our group. Landon lives with his mom and dad, Wally and Tiffany and his little brother in Idaho. Landon likes playing with trucks and cars, and his favorite character is Mickey Mouse.

 

Sophia is two years old. She lives Idaho with her mom and dad, Jake and Nicole. This may she was diagnosed with ALL. Her favorite cartoon is Wow Wow Wubbzy. Sophia likes music, movies, playing outside and tea parties. Her favorite color is blue.

 

Yana was diagnosed with leukemia in the fall of 2009. She too has recently “officially” joined American Childhood Cancer Org Inland NW. Yana will turn six this summer. She lives with her mom and dad, Andrey and Elena and family here in Spokane.

 

Hunter is soon to be six and was diagnosed with Wilms tumor in May. Hunter and his family: mom, dad, sister Felecia, and brother Tanner are from Montana. Hunter likes Spiderman & Woody, worker trucks stuffed animal friends.

Activities and support for the whole family!

 

Families will enjoy a FREE dinner starting at 6:00pm,

so get here on time while it's still hot!

 

Separate support groups will follow from 6:30-7:30pm, for:

  • Parents and caregivers
  • Patients ages 4-11
  • Siblings ages 4-11
  • Teen patients and siblings together, ages 12-19.

Family Services

The hospital has discontinued meal card assistance for in-hospital families. We have supplemental cards that can help. We've added a $25 cafeteria card to our new patient bags and will continue to add supplemental assistance. As always, supplemental cards are also available for those lengthy clinic days too.

In Loving Memory

 

Our hearts and prayers go out to all families struggling with the loss of their child.

 

Our Parent Support retreat is scheduled for October 7, 8, 9 at St. Joseph's Family Center. More information coming soon.
