Montford Farmers Market Open Every Wednesday at Chamber

Asheville's newest farmers market opened last week to a large crowd eager to experience it. Open every Wednesday from 2 - 6 p.m. in the Chamber's parking lot at 36 Montford Avenue, the market carries an eclectic variety of offerings. Vendors lined the parking lot with items like homemade popcicles, flowers, fresh coastal seafood, jams, cutting boards and kitchen wares, artisan breads, and even beer from Asheville Brewing Company. Twenty permanent vendors and six additional day vendors will sell their offerings each week. The market's location, in a residential area at the Asheville Visitors Center, makes this tailgate a perfect stop for those headed home from work, as well as for the many visitors who come to the area, many of whom plan vacations to experience authentic local flavors and neighborhood farms. Don't wait for a chance to sample the new market! View a slideshow of images from last week's grand opening on the Chamber's Facebook page.
