Chiefs Margarita DiVita and Robbie Warren have decided to let the Corn Harvewst Dance rest for this year
There will not be a Corn Harvest Dance at the Center For Peace in its familiar form this year.

Saturday, October 8th Women's Sweat Lodge
The next Women’s Sweat Lodge will be held at the Center For Peace on Saturday, October 8th. Please arrive by 10:00 AM when the Fire will be lit.
As part of the gathering, we will create a circle and invite you to bring a sacred item that has a story you would be willing to share.
Please bring a covered dish for the feast. So that we may continue to offer and support future women’s, and all, sweat lodges at the Center For Peace, a suggested Love Donation of $10.00 is requested.

Premier Shopping Days
 We would like to invite you to visit our shop during our two Premier Shopping Days---Saturday, November 5th
and
Saturday, December 10th.
The hours will be from 10 am to 4 pm.
Each visitor will be given an index card (or more) for you to make your Wish List on, so bring your partner, friends and family for a day of leisurely browsing our shop. Each person will have an opportunity to shop for anyone that they choose to do so, while their relative, partner or friend enjoys a cup of tea or coffee and a cookie and a friendly conversation with other persons of like mind.

"Messiah" Training
Tuesdays 7-8:30pm
"In September of 2009, I began leading a weekly seminar at the Center for Peace around the subject of 'Messiah' Training. These are on a continuing basis [until they are not] and everyone is invited to participate.
"If you have read and liked such books as Richard Bach’s ILLUSIONS and/or are intrigued by the teachings of A COURSE IN MIRACLES and/or follow the visionary path taught by people like Joseph Rael, you already may have been studying up on this subject – already a 'messiah in training'.
"Please do not let the language throw you! These times together are very little about doctrine, demands, or nice ideas and much more about self discovery, personal power, and mutual support."

Fire Ceremony
 7th of each month, 7 pm
~ led by Katy Koontz
The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.
All are welcome. We suggest you arrive around 6:45 pm.

Sweat Lodge
Thursday Night Lodge - October 20th 6:30 pm
Saturday Night Lodge - November 5th 6:30pm
A sweat lodge or "Purification Lodge", is an intensely rewarding experience. By entering the womb of Mother Earth (the lodge), we seek purification and a deeper spiritual awareness through prayer.
Generally speaking the experience is to deepen spiritual awareness. The steam, heat, and darkness intensify prayers and personal introspection. The lodge leader (pourer), with help from the fire tender, hold an energetic space of safety and security while setting the intent of the lodge. The medicine of the lodge leader and of each participant helps to enrich the lessons of the lodge.
There are composting toilets in the meadow. You may change clothes in these toilets or at the Peace Sound Chamber. There is no nudity in our lodges.
Suggested Items to Bring:
• Two Towels
• Men are requested to wear swim trunks, gym shorts or something similar.
• Women are requested to wear a skirt or dress. (Something for inside the sweat that is modest and you don’t mind getting muddy.)
• Change of clothes (Preferably long sleeve and covers all of the legs to keep from getting the feast area dirty).
• Covered Dish for the Feast.
It is appropriate to bring tobacco, a small gift, or monetary gift for the fire-keeper and lodge master, both of whom offer their services to the people as a gift.
Cash donations are used to support the Sweat Lodge. We use lots of wood for the fire; supplies like herbs (sage, tobacco, cornmeal, etc.), drinking water, and more. If you are feeling abundant, a donation would be appreciated.
There is never a charge for Ceremony. If you are not feeling abundant, PLEASE do not allow this to prevent you from coming.

Drumming Circle

Drumming is a powerful, sometimes dramatic, way to break into other levels of our mind. Sensitive instruments can measure the way that drumming affects the brain waves. That’s the reason for tens of thousands of years the shaman has journeyed with the drum.
This drumming is not specifically for journeying; but you get to use it whatever way you wish – including having a good time doing it!
So, on Friday of each week, bring your drum, and come join us.

Chamber Repair
The Peace Sound Chamber is in need of repairs (roof, walls, steps, railings) and we need your financial support in completing them.
The Chamber provides a sacred space for singing, chanting, drumming, meditating, teaching and other forms of celebrating the abuncance of the Earth, the grace of Creator and the unity of all people.
Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow, was the visionary father of these chambers which are located all around the US and the world.

“End Of Separation”

What THEY did – from cloning a race of inferior humans [us] to be slaves in Atlantis, to fiddling while Rome burned, to conspiring to take away everything we have, to putting out misinformation to keep us confused, to charging too much for my hamburger -- does not amount to a hill of beans.
Actually, all THEY needed to do was to whisper the notion that we had the right, wisdom, and authority to look upon what another person did and declare it BAD. . .or EVIL. . .or A SIN. From the moment we first believed this and accepted this as WHO I AM, no one – not even Creator Itself – has done anything right.
When I believe this I am Adam and I am eating now the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
When I renew my belief in this and condemn myself for eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, I AM STILL DOING IT. I cannot talk about, think about, or write about the knowledge of good and evil without actively participating in the perpetuation of this crazy idea!!! When I search the books to discover who originated such a crazy idea to blame them, I am still perpetuating and deeply entrenched in this crazy idea!!
And that is the secret: it IS just a crazy idea a whole civilization of people decided to play with for a few thousand years.
And, once the idea was planted, we can not force our minds to forget the knowledge of good and evil!! The harder we try to force it out of our minds, the more impossible it becomes!!
So, boo hoo! All we can do is sit and woe is me!
Well [thank you, Prince Poppycock of “America’s Got Talent” on TV, for resurrecting a nicely descriptive word!] -- Poppycock! I say!
We are people who have uncovered some memories of the Radiance. That is a part of what we have been doing, when we have entered ceremonies and moved through our “battles with our limitations”, so we could begin the true ceremony.
The ceremony may seem to have begun with the laying of a fire, or scattering corn meal or tobacco, or a thump of the drum, or the drumbeat for the journey. The true ceremony, however, began after we had danced until we could dance no more, had taken that mindless step into the fire, or had gone off – and, yes, we are sometimes gone – with our power animal on the shamanic journey – and, yes, we are in some measure needing to trust the drummer to “drum us back”.
Who of us has not experienced moments of transcendence? Have there not been times and places that even now so quicken us that our “hair wiggles”, dreams or visions in which we taste a delicious fruit like the nectar for the gods, in which we hear the “song of the angels”, touch the golden riches; and the throb of the sand beneath our feet is as sweet as the gentle touch of our lover?
The more we remember this Radiance, the closer we come to the time when those other memories mentioned above, which have occupied our “civilized” minds for thousands of years, will become just a passing dream, which need not interrupt the Gift that Creator keeps offering us – the fruit of the tree of life.

You have your dream and I’ll have mine, you say?

The real stuff of the real dream of humankind was “designed and built into” every one of these human bodies that we Infinite Beings “wear” around in this world. The “controls” and “gauges” – built in.
What I need to know is that what pain feels like is the same to me as it is to every one of the billions of people. When I extend pain to another, I already know how it feels. The same is true of pleasure and of all the other sensed information. When I extend it to another, I already know how it feels. There is nothing that I can do to anyone else without already knowing how it feels; because we “wear” the same “space suits”. And, yes, there are two models – male and female – and, yes, the feelings are 99.9+% the same!
The only difference is the value I give to that feeling.
That choice may actually be the only real choice I have ever had.
I am not even in charge of the value that another person may give to the same sensation. That may actually be the only real choice that person has ever made, as well.
I choose to give my sensations the value of accepting what I feel.
If I like what I feel, I choose to let it increase, so I can share it with others.
If it does not feel pleasant, I choose to let it decrease and fall away.
Mind games, you say?
Absolutely!!
Choice just may be the only game the mind is for. [I had to leave it open, you see; because all I know is what I have experienced. And I am not finished with that yet.]

Work is Worship
“Work is Worship”
Work/activity is one very clear way to celebrate our selves as part of the community by which we are being fed spiritually. And it is always a lot of fun. Time seems to alter into a process rather than a taskmaster and friendships are born and nurtured by our community participation.
Bring gloves, appropriate clothing, water and an open willing attitude. If you have any special skills, please let us know so we can best use your talents. Of course, we will first take care of the pressing needs, but there is a lot of work to be done and all your talents are valuable.
We provide lunch. (So kitchen help is also appreciated.)

Chanting in the Chamber
The Peace Sound Chamber is available for chanting, vision quests and ceremonies of many different types.
You are encouraged to come to the chamber and chant, drum, meditate or simply sit (the chamber Spirits love it); please check first that there is not something already scheduled.
Please call at least two weeks in advance to reserve our facilities as usage requires council approval.
