SINGING MELODY PREMIERS "COLLIDE" MUSIC VIDEO
(Kingston, Jamaica)
With his soon to be released album"They Call Me Mr. Melody" on the way,
international reggae recording artist Singing Melody is back with a brand
new video for the official lead out single dubbed "Collide".

The video which was directed by seasoned Videographer Asha McHail of
Fareye Films who's portfolio includes videos for I Octane, Etana and
Alaine tells a story of a man being released from prison and reuniting
with his family. Shot on several locations across Kingston the two day
shoot captured the message of "Collide", a song which for Melody holds a
double meaning.

"Its a new beginning for me as I reunite with my fans who have remained
loyal over the years. We wanted the video to be a story of redemption, one
that shows even the best fall down but more important than the falling
down is how quick you get up and recover".

Best known for his hit singles "Want You Back", "Say What", "Rescue Me"
and"Lived My Life" featuringTony Rebel and Beres Hammond, Singing Melody
is showing no signs of slowing down as his love for heart warming music is
now more obvious than ever before.

SALUTE TO THE FUTURE OF ROOTS REGGAE

Brooklyn, Oct. 19th, 2011...Reggae Culture Salute returns to Nazareth Performance Center in Brooklyn on Saturday, November 5th starting at 7:30PM to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the coronation of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I and Empress Menen of Ethiopia and the unique relationship between rasta, reggae, Selassie and Jamaica. For 2011, the Coalition to Preserve Reggae Music (CPR) salutes the future of roots reggae by presenting Dub Tonic Kru, Global Battle of the Band Champion for 2010-2011. For many, their historic win earlier this year in Malaysia where they prevailed over more than 4,000 other bands made them the "Usian Bolt" of roots reggae music. Dub Tonic Kru will be the first recipient of CPR's newly established Simba (young lion) Award in honor of their dedication to the tradition of roots reggae music. Another young lion making an appearance at Reggae Culture Salute 2011 is cultural artist, IWayne who debuted at #5 on the Billboard Reggae Chart with his recent release “Life Teachings” on VP Records. IWayne has consistently penned and performed uplifting roots reggae music for his fans the world over. IWayne returns to New York after a one year absence.

Big Youth who received congressional honors at last year's Reggae Culture Salute is also back by popular demand after last year's exhilarating performance and will receive CPR’s 2011 Pinnacle Award for Excellence for his more than 40 years of being a pioneer in the industry. Junior "Gabu" Wedderburn with his Ancient Vibration ensemble of traditional nyahbinghi drummers and dancers returns to captivate and enlighten the audience.

The multi-media evening will premiere the screening of the documentary "Bad Friday - Rastafari After Coral Gardens." The film shares the stories of several Rastafarian elders as well as a retired police officer who were all involved in the horrors visited on the Rastafarian community of Coral Gardens in 1963.

The lineup will also showcase emerging artists from the membership ranks of CPR as we salute the future of roots reggae music. Representing the New York fraternity of artists are Major Daps with his latest release, Dapsthology; Songbird Simone, former harmony singer for Stephen Marley; Coozie Mellers founder of Anthem Band and Qshan Deya who recently walked away with 2nd place honors at the Jamaica Festival Song competition with his big hit, "Everything Tun Up."

Sponsors for the family event are Dennis Shipping, Courts Caribbean, VP Records, Dragon Stout and Jamaica National Building Society. Media partners include WVIP 93.5 FM, Street Hype Newspaper, ZYNC TV and Jamaicans.com.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. To purchase tickets visit local ticket outlets or www.cprreggae.org.

TRIPLE T PRODUCTION NOW BOOKING REGGAE ARTISTES: ERNIE SMITH, JUNIOR KELLY AND PRESTIGE
ERNIE SMITH - JAMAICA’S CULTURAL AMBASSADOR
Iconic Reggae singer Ernie Smith has been waving Jamaica’s flag very high the past couple of months, with performances and guest appearance at cultural celebrations in North America. Performing at Jamaica Day in Canada, Jamaica’s Independence Day in New York, and Emancipation Day in Jamaica, Smith proves to be one of Jamaica’s most enthusiastic cultural ambassadors.

In addition to his Jamaica Day performance, Smith did a two week tour of Canada, playing clubs and festivals throughout the country, before shooting down to New York for the August 6th Jamaica Independence festival in Brooklyn. This coming weekend, Smith will be on the West Coast with a performance in Los Angeles.

Since the beginning of his career in the late 1960s, Ernie has penned over 200 songs, several of which have been recorded by other artists, including Goldie Hawn, Johnny Nash, Rita Marley, Chakka Demus & Pliers, Sanchez, Twiggy, Eddie Lovett, Yellowman, famed gospel group Grace Thrillers and others. He has made an indelible mark on Jamaican music with Reggae classics “Bend Down,” “Ride On Sammy,” “One Dream,” “Pitta Patta,” and “Duppy Gunman.” In 1972, he beat songwriters Neil Sedaka and Michael Legrand, to win the Grand Prize at the World Popular Song Festival in Tokyo, and became the first Jamaican musician to win an international music award.

Ernie has hit many of the world’s greatest stages including repeat performances at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden. His anthology After 30 Years: Life is Just for Living was published in 1997. His latest album Country Mile was released in 2010 and features popular IRIE FM radio DJ Ron Machete, and veteran performer Pluto Shervington. In June, Ernie released the humorous single “Nutten A Guh Come Outta Dat.”

Junior Kelly:
AFTER A SUCCESSFUL EUROPEAN TOUR, JUNIOR KELLY SETS HIS SIGHTS ON THE UNITED STATES

Root Reggae champion Junior Kelly spent much of the summer blazing a trail across Europe with powerful performances at the Chiemsee Reggae Festival in Germany, and the Sudoeste Festival in Portugal, where he shared the stage with American superstars Snoop Dogg and Kanye West, as well as roots legends Alpha Blondy, and Inner Circle. Kelly also gave rousing performances at the Garance Reggae Festival in France, Ruhr Festival in Germany, and the Oland Roots Festival in Sweden. The hectic tour also included club dates in Italy, Amsterdam, Denmark, and Slovenia.

After much success in Europe, Junior Kelly is eager to blaze a trail across the United States of America this fall. The well-seasoned and powerful performer was sorely missed at summer festivals throughout the United States, and is now set to give American Reggae music lovers precisely what they’ve been demanding.

Keith ‘Junior Kelly’ Morgan has spent the past decade touring the world as one of roots Reggae’s strongest acts. His breakthrough single “Love So Nice”established him as a bonafide star in 2000. His commanding juxtaposition of precisely timed, deejayed rhymes and melodic singing, coupled with his vivid storytelling abilities, took the song to #1 on the Jamaican charts. “Love So Nice” spent 15 weeks at the top, making it the island’s longest charting number one single for 2000.

The album Love So Nice, released in 2001, also spawned the well-received singles“Sunshine,” “Boom Draw” and the biting social commentary “Hungry Days,” which brought him recognition throughout the Caribbean, North America, and Europe. Kelly followed up Love So Nice, with Juvenille (2002), Conscious Voice (2002), Smile(2003), Bless (2003), and Tough Life (2005), His latest album, Red Pond (2010) features the lilting lovers rock tune “Too Late” with Queen Ifrica, “Murderer,” a ferocious admonishment of gun violence, and “African Child” which was partially inspired by Kelly’s unforgettable visit to Haiti.

Earlier this year, Junior Kelly released the critically acclaimed single “Mister Mighty,” which is currently in rotation on stations around the globe.

SIMBA AMANI : :
Simba Amani hailing out of the twin island of Trinidad & Tobago is a young talented music artiste. After the recent launch of his first official music video he’s been gaining popularity on the music scene on a daily basis.

This video, for his song “Hold my peace” can be seen on Synergy Tv and several internet websites, and continues to spread daily. Simba, who resides in Trincity, has recently completed his course of study at the University of The West Indies, attaining his first degree and has since dedicated himself to his music full time.

The singer/songwriter recorded his first track in 2009 and for two years has managed to accomplish quite a lot with the sole support of a few close friends and family members. Making quite a name for himself, opening for several renowned stars like Jr Gong, Nas and Jah Cure to name a few, Simba is turning up the air waves and on the road to a promising and bright music career.

Now after signing a management deal with Schizophrenic Entertainment in July of this year, Simba’s game has been given the extra push needed and is constantly working on more projects. “Currently, I am working with a variety of local and foreign producers each with a different brand of music....although I started up singing mostly Reggae, I feel the need to truly express my versatility and my many moods which would be brought about with the different genres.”

The rising star is about to launch more songs including “She knows” amongst others. Different from "Hold My Peace" a Reggae single that has gotten him more into the spotlight and so far as being called the local ‘Jah Cure’. Simba would now leave others wondering what to call him as he releases this brand new dancehall track.

This new track really shows the young artiste's versatility as he makes out the girls who know exactly what they do to guys and was written by Simba himself. Simba expressed his plans of giving back to society.

Already with a number of great releases under his belt (Hello, All I Need, Let Jah Be Your Best Friend), both locally and internationally - having stretched his paws as far as Tanzania and Colombia- the young Lion says he's not stopping there. When asked of what more he has in store in the near future and beyond, he simply smiles and affirms that the only thing to expect from Simba Amani is the unexpected.

SUGA ROY - SUGA ROY & CONRAD CRYSTAL UNIVERSAL TRIBUTE TO GREGORY ISAACS: : :
From Suga Roy:

I give thanks to Jah for inspiring me with this idea to do this album "Suga Roy And Conrad Crystal Universal Tribute To Gregory Isaacs” featuring Fantan Mojah and Luciano on separate tracks.

The album has tracks such as ‘Night Nurse’, ‘All I Have Is Love’,
‘Universal’, ‘Tune In’, ‘Hard Drugs’, ‘Border’ plus 12 more classic tracks. I respect Gregory very much as an icon of reggae music; he was one of the greatest singer/songwriter in culture and lovers rock reggae and was one of my idols since I was a youth.

I love his music so much that in 2004 I teamed up with Conrad Crystal to do a remake of the Gregory classic ‘Love Overdue’ and that remake was a success for me and Conrad Crystal; everywhere we performed it, people loved it.

In 2006 I did a remake of ‘Soon Forward’ with Gregory Isaacs himself! It was a great experience for me to work with him as one of the great living icons at that time.

This new album is produced by Leroy ‘Suga Roy’ More for Fire Ball Records label. I want everyone to support this album.

If you wish, and we really wish you wouldn't, like to be removed from this list, please reply with REMOVE in subject line.

It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows. Your callÂ…..
