A new year typically brings a fresh beginning with renewed hope as we leave the past behind with the flip of a calendar page and look towards an unwritten and mysterious future.
For children with cancer and their families, that renewed hope will require drawing upon a deep well of courage to get through difficult days.
Every day is the beginning of a new year, day one of the next 365, that has the potential to capture that hope and infuse it into our daily life.
Imagine the courage and strength needed when life as we once knew it is interrupted and forever changed. Imagine that it is your child that needs encouragement while you also struggle to find and be a source of hope and inspiration to help them.
We infuse each other with the hope and courage needed for difficult times.
This December, we hosted a community project for students at Horizon Middle School to facilitate a way to strengthen and encourage a recently diagnosed student. This project exemplified the strength and courage that is gained from solidarity and community support.
Families dare to live bravely in an uncertain world - hoping that they will continually find renewal as emotional, financial, and social resources are tapped.
We invite you to join us as we provide hope, encouragement, and solidarity to the youngest of cancer patients and their families.
You can help: Consider hosting a PJammin event, Light the Way with us on March 24, or join us as a volunteer.
May 2012 bring hope, strength, courage, and good health.
