"For The One" Dance

Teresa & Morten

"For The One" Dance
March 23rd-26th

With Dance Leaders:
Morten Østbye (Norway) &
Teresa Hutson (USA)
 Register Core Shamanism

Several years ago, Jeanne White Eagle was given a vision of a “Singing Dance,” a dance whose purpose was to awaken the memory of who we are and where we come from... a dance to bring what has been separated, back together again. The name of the dance is “For the One.”

In a time of a major Shift of Consciousness, on our planet, choices are being made that will affect our reality on many levels. It is time to remember who we are... that we, and all life are connected as parts of a single Consciousness; and as each of us interacts with our world on a daily basis, we either create further separation or we remember who we are and find the grace and strength to love what is in front of us in each passing moment.

In this Dance, we create a sacred space that is filled with Love, in which the Dancers will do their Work. As the drum carries the Dancer to the sacred center, the Dancer will sing spontaneously the sounds that will take her or him to the original Vibration from which all Creation comes. In this space, we experience ourselves as the hollow bone through which Spirit blows the breath of life...And it is here that we remember that there is no separation.

As this Dance has evolved through the years, it has become clear that, more than anything else, it is about "how" we treat one another. Love permeates the experience and the Work on all levels....

Come join us as we do this Sacred Work, for the One and for the World....

Work Day for the "For The One" Dance

Dance Chiefs Teresa Hutson and Morten Østby ask that weWorking Hands come together as a community to prepare the space for the “For The One” Dance, which will take place on March 23rd-26th.

  • Split and stack firewood
  • Prepare the Dance Arbor
  • Mowing needs to be done
  • There is also work to be done at the house, such as cleaning the kitchen and gift shop.
  • Clean the composting toilets (sweep, empty trash, replenish supplies, clean seats, look for wasp nests etc)
  • Get sawdust
  • Clean up drum stand area & arbor
  • Weed eat around meadow, Sound Chamber & arbor
  • Sweep and tidy up Sound Chamber
  • Clean & organize kitchen (inventory paper products, trash bags, stables etc)

We will be mowing the meadow and preparing the arbor. The composting toilets will need maintenance, Peace Sound Chamber cleaned and prepared, supplies stocked and more.

Participation is a sign of the vitality of the Center and how important it is in the lives of the People. We are a non-profit organization that depends on the generosity of the People who receive their spiritual food here to fund our operations for the year.

“Work is Worship“ Work/activity is one very clear way to celebrate our selves as part of the community by which we are being fed spiritually. And it is always a lot of fun. Time seems to alter into a process rather than a taskmaster and friendships are born and nurtured by our community participation.

Bring gloves, appropriate clothing, water and an open willing attitude. If you have any special skills, please let us know so we can best use your talents. Of course, we will first take care of the pressing needs, but there is a lot of work to be done and all your talents are valuable.

It is a great feeling to give something back for what you’ve received, and in that way, experience the meaning of the teaching, “Work is Worship.”

If you, too, would like to support the Center and give something back for what you have received, join us on our ‘Work Is Worship’ days. Workdays are always filled with fun, fellowship, and laughter (and lunch)! Check our calendar for the latest dates.

Imbalance

To my friends,the medicine people:

I was speaking with a wise medicine woman the other day when she shared with me her insight on Tu-Tah :the "Center" the place where you must be carried....If we are always carrying then we have no opportunity to be carried and if we are always carried then we have no opportunity to carry.

As I put that in my pipe to smoke, it became clear that we are creating an imbalance.

The chamber, Tu-Tah, at the CFP is a living, teaching chamber which has carried all for many years, it has revealed that now is the time for the people to carry it with gratitude.

It is the same in the Arbor,if the dancers are equal, the importance of the dancers equal but the energy exchange is not are we creating an imbalance?  If one dancer is always contributing the full amount requested and another dancer contributes none, is there an imbalance being created? Is there an energy exchange imbalance?

To my knowledge CFP has never stated that one may not dance due to lack of finances and I don't feel as if it being said so now. What I am hearing is: "Let's work towards an energy exchange that creates balance.Lets create Balance!"

There are many many ways to create balance. If the CFP wants to continue to be that place of "Home" we hear shared and talked about,we have to be carried sometimes, that is all.

This is not about individuals, this is not about CFP, this is about balance and the flow of energy exchange so we may Carry and be Carried all the way to the Center! Tu-Tah

These are only the words and thoughts of Tamy Brown, CFP Council Person

"Messiah" Training

Tuesdays 7-8:30pm

"In September of 2009,  I began leading a weekly seminar at the Center for Peace around the subject of 'Messiah' Training.  These are on a continuing basis [until they are not] and everyone is invited to participate.
"If you have read and liked such books as Richard Bach’s ILLUSIONS and/or are intrigued by the teachings of A COURSE IN MIRACLES and/or follow the visionary path taught by people like Joseph Rael, you already may have been studying up on this subject – already a 'messiah in training'.
"Please do not let the language throw you!  These times together are very little about doctrine, demands, or nice ideas and much more about self discovery, personal power, and mutual support."

Fire Ceremony

Fire7th of each month, 7 pm
           ~ led by Katy Koontz

The purpose of the FIRE CEREMONY is to heal and purify both the planet’s physical oceans and the oceans of cosmic thought.
At 7 pm local time, fire elders light ceremonial fires at  each of the Peace Sound Chambers around the world. Those present watch the fire in silence until it burns out, giving to it what we want to transmute in our lives and staying open to the messages and teachings it brings.

All are welcome. We suggest you arrive around 6:45 pm.

Donations are appreciated.

Sweat Lodge

Sweat lodge
Saturday Night Lodge
March 3rd 7:30pm
Thursday Night Lodge
March 15th 6:30pm

A sweat lodge or "Purification Lodge", is an intensely rewarding experience. By entering the womb of Mother Earth (the lodge), we seek purification and a deeper spiritual awareness through prayer.
Generally speaking the experience is to deepen spiritual awareness. The steam, heat, and darkness intensify prayers and personal introspection. The lodge leader (pourer), with help from the fire tender, hold an energetic space of safety and security while setting the intent of the lodge. The medicine of the lodge leader and of each participant helps to enrich the lessons of the lodge.
There are composting toilets in the meadow. You may change clothes in these toilets or at the Peace Sound Chamber. There is no nudity in our lodges.

Suggested Items to Bring:

• Two Towels
• Men are requested to wear swim trunks, gym shorts or something similar.
• Women are requested to wear a skirt or dress. (Something for inside the sweat that is modest and you don’t mind getting muddy.)
• Change of clothes (Preferably long sleeve and covers all of the legs to keep from getting the feast area dirty).
• Covered Dish for the Feast.

It is appropriate to bring tobacco, a small gift, or monetary gift for the fire-keeper and lodge master, both of whom offer their services to the people as a gift.
Cash donations are used to support the Sweat Lodge.  We use lots of wood for the fire; supplies like herbs (sage, tobacco, cornmeal, etc.), drinking water, and more. If you are feeling abundant, a donation would be appreciated.

There is never a charge for Ceremony. If you are not feeling abundant, PLEASE do not allow this to prevent you from coming.

Drumming Circle

Every Friday @ 7 pm
~led by José Gonzalez and Tamy Brown

Drumming is a powerful, sometimes dramatic, way to break into other levels of our mind.  Sensitive instruments can measure the way that drumming affects the brain waves.  That’s the reason for tens of thousands of years the shaman has journeyed with the drum.
This drumming is not specifically for journeying; but you get to use it whatever way you wish – including having a good time doing it!
So, on Friday of each week, bring your drum, and come join us.
Donations are appreciated.
