Evans, currently on tour with his own group,  "The Florida State Bluegrass Band" is making waves throughout the bluegrass world.

 As a multi intrumentalist, Evans is very picky about who accompanies him on stage making sure his music is interpreted the way it was meant. He has hand selected some of the finest musicians in the southeastern United States that meet and have exceed his expectations.

Ernie's lengthy resume includes touring internationally most recently as a member of Grammy Nominee, Valerie Smith & Liberty Pike, 5-Time Grammy Nominee Vassar Clements, and even with Motown legends “The Platters". His music has taken him all over the world throughout his career, and when he is not on stage he can be found broadcasting in St. Augustine, FL at WFCF 88.5FM, as well as on World Wide Bluegrass with his co-host, wife, and band mate Debi Evans, on their own shows, airing weekly. Debi has been there through the entire journey learning the trade and building the company from the ground up that they both own and manage called "Evans Media Source".

Ernie and Debi are well known for their work on radio promoting bluegrass music. They currently host 2 charting radio shows that air weekly.

BIO

Ernie Evans and The Florida State Bluegrass Band represent what fans expect from Bluegrass Music today.

In a world of division between contemporary and traditional styles, few bands can adequately bridge the two without sounding like a traditional band trying to sound contemporary band or vise versa. Evans and company handle this department very well and gained a strong reputation by being capable. Another advantage for this group has been their strong vocal presence and overall delivery in their stage show.

Ernie Evans is a third generation musician with a the rare ability to play multiple instruments, sing lead and sing low & high harmony parts. His strongest contribution to the band is his ability to lead and manage the group from the office to the stage. Bassist and vocalist Debi Evans adds strong female vocals and is an accomplished musician in her own right. Together, they offer family style harmony that is a treat for their audiences.

Rounding out the vocals and the voice melting the three part harmonies together is banjo player and vocalist, Isaac Taylor. Isaac has been a member since the bands inception and has been there and a part of every development the band has evolved in. Make no mistake about his young appearance though, his lead voice has become one of the most talked about in the southeastern circuit. Ask anyone who has heard him and they will all say the same thing "this young man is bound for greatness"...

On mandolin and harmony vocals you will see and hear Nate Lee. Nate is a former member of Alan Munde's Country Gazzette. Nate is a very well schooled musician with no limits and brings many talents to the stage. Learning from the legendary Alan Munde set a course for Nate's playing that formed a perfect fit for Ernie Evans & The Florida State Bluegrass Band.
