Performing the hits; "Bad Boys, Make You Sweat, and Reggae Dancer." Also touring is Joaquin "QUINO" McWhinney, of the group Big Mountain, Stevie Face, and Messenjah Selah.

Calton Coffie, best known as the co-writer and lead vocalist for the Grammy Award- winning, Cops theme song, "Bad Boys." The perennially popular song from the album of the same name can be heard nightly on the internationally syndicated television series "Cops," as well as in the movies "Minority Report," "Bad Boys," and "Beverly Hills Cop III." As the lead vocalist of the musical group Inner Circle, he recorded six albums, including "Bad Boys." His international chart topper, the hit record "Sweat, (a La,La,La,La, Long)," became the most-played record ever in Germany. Coffie’s solo album "Hot Cup of Calton Coffie," features 18 original songs written by Coffie and released on Coffie’s own label, Studio A Music Group. This tour promotes Coffie’s latest album release, "HOTTA CUP". Further information at: www.caltoncoffie.com or http://myspace.com/caltoncoffie.

Joaquin "QUINO" McWhinney, the lead vocalist from San Diego’s own Big Mountain had the whole world singing "Ooh Baby I Love Your Way". They would go on to sell over 3.5 million records and tour in over 30 countries around the world. Quino was part of a reggae wave that captivated the world music scene and would become a part of the first generation of reggae artists that were readily included in play lists on mainstream radio. Further information at: www.bigmountain.tv

His second album "Breaking Babylon Curse" (Zion High/Lustre Kings, 2008), captures his main message, "Know yourself and by knowing yourself you will know the Creator." On this tour he will be promoting his soon to be released CD, "REMIND ME". Visit www.m-selah.com.

There are quite a few good singers on the rise in Jamaica who have shown that they have the pedigree to carry on the great singing tradition that the reggae genre has become famous for world-wide, One such artist is Stevie Face who has amassed a very exciting repertoire of hits, which includes a mixture of cover and original songs such as, "Coming Home Tonight, Tell It Like It Is, In the Living Years’ and his latest chart topper, "Thank You for Loving Me." The smooth-voiced singer’s music has impressed not only music lovers at home, but also abroad in England where he is currently ranked as one of the top reggae singers. This will be his first visit to California.

Grange Grieves Mighty Mike’s Death

Opposition spokesperson on Culture and Entertainment, Olivia “Babsy” Grange, has expressed regret at the passing of veteran Irie FM DJ, Michael “Mighty Mike” Jones.

According to Miss Grange, Jones was one of the most versatile DJs on Jamaican radio and, in some 20-odd years at Irie FM, had proven his ability and earned the respect of a large number of reggae fans both at home and in the Diaspora.

“One of his most admirable attributes was his refusal to bow to popular demand, as up to the time of his death he resolutely held out for promoting the best quality Jamaican music that was available to him and at no time felt he had to play songs that were not fit for airplay in order to survive or to be popular,” Miss Grange said.

She stated that his death must be a great lossto Irie FM, as it will not be easy to replace him, but added that she was confident that the foundation he had laid for respecting good quality Jamaican music would be maintained during his slots, and would continue to guide theformat at the station.

“I grieve with his friends and co-workers, as well as the management of Irie FM and offer my deepest condolences to his family at his passing. I hope that they will ensure that he is always remembered for the positive contributions he made to our music and culture,” Miss Grange added.

Love so nice, they'll have to do it twice in New York, NY

New York, July 10, 2012: - Junior Kelly's passion for his craft was as palpable as the excitement inside the Rose Garden  and as he entered centre stage last Sunday, crooning the lyrics of Blaze, fans held nothing back as they welcomed him back to Brooklyn, New York.

With a smile that reached the depth of his eyes, Junior Kelly showed his appreciation for the love he was being shown and gave as good as he got. It was a case where the fans could do no wrong and, despite performing on tracks, Kelly managed to pull up a song ...or two.. or three .. or more... on demand.

The theme for the night seemed to be 'patron satisfaction and pure niceness' and Junior Kelly delivered masterfully.  Songs like Believe In Yourself, Dem Wrong, Missing You and Been There, the latest single that Junior Kelly is now promoting,  connected with the audience, but Sunshine proved to be one of the biggest winners of the night. It had to be pulled up three times and each time it elicited a whole new wave of screams. As expected mega hits Receive and Love So Nice were eagerly embraced and and had a freshness that captivated.

It was a performance that reminded everyone present of the compelling power of Reggae music and after exiting the stage, Junior Kelly spent the rest of the night with his fans, signing autographs, taking pictures and graciously receiving compliments on a job well done.

"It has been refreshing," Junior Kelly said of the showcase and the reaction of the patrons, many of whom sang his songs word-for-word. "I have to give thanks that these wonderful people made the decision to spend their hard-earned money to buy a ticket to come to my concert. People have choices and, added to that, they also have work on Monday, so I am truly grateful that they chose to be here. And we all had such a blazing time," he said in between taking pictures and smiling with fans.

In fact, the 'Love So Nice' singer's concert was so nice that it will have to be done twice. Junior Kelly was booked on the spot for the first available date, which turned out to be two week's time.  New York will therefore experience the second coming of Junior Kelly  on July 22 at the Village.

However, as the singer emphasised, "It's not about Junior Kelly, it's all about the message and power of reggae music."

Coming off waves of success from earlier releases like Souls' '93 Til Infinity, the Hiero crew had already established  themselves as a name in underground hip-hop, and soon released their first

collective project Third Eye Vision. Since then the Hiero team has been thriving in the hip-hop world, releasing a number of projects within the label as well as branching out for collaborations with the likes of Jurassic 5, George Clinton, Dilated Peoples, Q-Tip, Xzibit and Gorillaz.

Nosotros - Seamlessly combines Latin rhythms with the elements of Flamenco, Jazz, Salsa, and Rock, creating an original sound that is unmistakably Nosotros. But M.E. Schenck of Hyperactive Music Magazine may have interpreted their sound best by saying “Nosotros’ music is not to be explained, it is to be felt in the pit of our souls.”

In Jah´s Name We Pray

Follow the 80/20 Rule

“Nothing can add more power to your life than concentrating all your energies on a limited set of targets.”

-- Nido Qubein

The 80/20 rule says that on a list of 10 tasks, only 2 of those tasks will return 80% of the value of the entire list. Look at your ‘to do’ list for today. Which tasks are directly related to what you most want in life? Find the 2 high value items on your list and tackle them first. These tasks are the ones that really move us forward.

Many of us actively avoid the top 2 priorities because they are more challenging than the rest. If they are to lead us to worthy goals, they are undoubtedly asking us to move into new territory in thinking and acting, and this can be scary. But this is also REWARDING!

“Don’t kid yourself: it’s because you’re doing all those C’s (low priorities) and NOT because you haven’t any time, that you don’t get to do your A’s.”

-- Alan Lakein

If you wish, and we really wish you wouldn't, like to be removed from this list, please reply with REMOVE in subject line.

It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows. Your call...
