Sublime w/ Rome
Cypress Hill
HB Surround Sound
LIVE at MontBleu Casino Resort’s New Event Center
Thursday, July 26, 2012 |

LAKE TAHOE, NV – MontBleu and PR Entertainment presents the Sublime w/ Rome, Cypress Hil, and HB Surround Sound in the brand new MontBleu Outdoor Event Center located at the MontBleu Casino Resort in Lake Tahoe. General admission tickets will be available for $49.50 by calling MontBleu, 775-588-3515, at the Box Office, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. All ages show.
Formed in 1988 as a garage punk band, Sublime rose to fame in the mid-'90s on the back of the California punk explosion engendered by Green Day and the Offspring, though Sublime boosted their punk influences with heavy elements of reggae and ska. The band released only two albums during its first seven years, and finally found mainstream success with a self-titled release in 1996. It proved to be Sublime's last proper album, however, as lead singer Brad Nowell died in May 1996, just two months before the record's release.
Recently reborn in late 2010, Rome Ramirez joined the band as the new singer. Ramirez was born and raised in Fremont, California. Both of his parents are of Mexican heritage, his mother being from Guadalajara and his father's parents from Tijuana, but his father from Oakland. He first started playing guitar at age 11, and one of the first songs he learned was a Sublime song.
Cypress Hill is an American hip hop group from South Gate, California. Cypress Hill was the first Cuban-American/Latino hip hop group to have platinum and multi-platinum albums, selling over 18 million albums worldwide. It is one of the most well-known groups in West Coast rap and Hip Hop in general and was critically acclaimed for their first two groundbreaking albums.
HB Surround Sound opens the show. It’s been since the 2006 release of Mad World that HB Surround Sound has put an album out. Prior to that, they had 2 releases that included a self-titled along with the Kill All The Critics album.
Doors open at 6p. First band starts at 7p. Tickets are $49.50, and available at all Ticketmaster outlets, and at the MontBleu Box Office, or online www.ticketmaster.com. You can also purchase by phone by calling MontBleu Resort, 775-588-3515. This is an all ages event. Food and Beverage concessions and a sponsor/vendor village located inside the outdoor event center.

The 3RD Annual Beneficial Reggae 2012
Proudly presented by Tap Nat Muzik LLC
August 18th and 19th 2012 |

(I-taweh photo left.) The 3rd Annual Beneficial Reggae2012 is to be held once again at the beautiful Frey Winery, nestled in the stunning Redwood Valley in Mendocino County, California. This year’s show will be held in the Tomki Meadow, where families and friends will come together and leave their worries behind to enjoy an impressive, conscious, musical line up, and an exciting array of hand-picked craft vendors and international cuisine. Gates will open at 11:30 AM Saturday and Sunday.
Each year Tap Nat Muzik, a production/promotion company and music label owned by reggae artist I-taweh and his wife Kristi Cunningham, put on a show in order to raise money for a worthy cause. In 2010 with the help of Adam and Kim Frey, and parents from River Oak Charter School, they helped raise approximately $17,000 for the school’s 8th grade class. In 2011 they raised money for the African Birth Collective. The beneficiaries for Beneficial Reggae 2012 are MCAVHN (Mendocino County AIDS and Viral Hepatitis Network) and Mother Health International. MCAVHN’s mission is to stop the transmission of HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis C, and to care for those living with, affected by, or at risk by reducing harmful practices and promoting healthy lifestyles. Mother Health International is a nonprofit organization dedicated to respond and provide relief to pregnant women and children in areas of disaster, war and extreme economic poverty. Thanks to the generous sponsors of this year’s festival, Tap Nat Muzik hopes to raise $30,000 to divide between the two non-profits.
CAMPING
Although Tap Nat Muzik hopes to include camping at the festival in the near future, this year there will NOT be any camping on site. There are a few nearby campgrounds and hotels which will fill up fast so make your reservation right away.

Red Fest is an all ages outdoor music event designed to promote quality music and fun in beautiful Red River, NM.
In it’s third year, Red Fest Musical Festival presents:
The Wailers - Together with Bob Marley, the Wailers have sold in excess of 250 million albums worldwide. Outside of their groundbreaking work with Marley, the Wailers have also played or performed with international acts like Sting, the Fugees, Stevie Wonder, Carlos Santana, and Alpha Blondy, as well as reggae legends such as Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and Burning Spear. As the greatest living exponents of Jamaica’s reggae tradition, the Wailers have completed innumerable other tours, playing to an estimated 24 million people across the globe.
Hieroglyphics - Founded in 1997 in Oakland, CA, Hiero Imperium Records is Del The Funky Homosapien, Casual, Pep Love, Domino, and the Souls of Mischief, made up of A-Plus, Opio, Phesto and Tajai. Coming off waves of success from earlier releases like Souls' '93 Til Infinity, the Hiero crew had already established themselves as a name in underground hip-hop, and soon released their first
collective project Third Eye Vision. Since then the Hiero team has been thriving in the hip-hop world, releasing a number of projects within the label as well as branching out for collaborations with the likes of Jurassic 5, George Clinton, Dilated Peoples, Q-Tip, Xzibit and Gorillaz.
Vokab Kompany - San Diego band Vokab Kompany (Voted San Diego Music Awards “Best Hip Hop” act 2011) has been gaining national notoriety based on the success of their song “So Bright” and it’s appearance in international car company KIA with their 2010 Summer Sales Event Commercial and on The Today Show with Al Roker. The success continued into 2011 with another national Southern Comfort Fiery Pepper commercial, collaborating on the single “Burn It Down” with fellow bandmate; saxophonist, Jesse Malloy, and his production duo Crush Effect.
Nosotros - Seamlessly combines Latin rhythms with the elements of Flamenco, Jazz, Salsa, and Rock, creating an original sound that is unmistakably Nosotros. But M.E. Schenck of Hyperactive Music Magazine may have interpreted their sound best by saying “Nosotros’ music is not to be explained, it is to be felt in the pit of our souls.”
James and the Devil - Your All-Original Rocky Mountain grown Hiphopfiddle’n Funk Rock Band.. Delivering powerful, melodic high energy driven shows in the Rocky Mountain region of the USA.
Dj Trichrome - Legendary 311 Opener - Madison Wi
Dj I-Dee - 2011 DMC Vice Champion - Miami Fl

-- Jane R. Hirschmann & Carol H. Munter
The journey to know ourselves ideally brings us to self-understanding and acceptance. It is NOT a quest for self-improvement.
When we open to love and accept ourselves, no matter what, we allow our innate love, power and wisdom to emerge naturally.

If you wish, and we really wish you wouldn't, like to be removed from this list, please reply with REMOVE in subject line.
It will make us very sad if you do, and perhaps your removal will be the one the makes us decide this no longer worth doing at all, and all the information we provide will go away forever and musicians will sit home alone at night and cry because they have no one to play for because no one knows about their shows. Your call... |
