Early evening may be a perfect time to talk about and catch up on what's happening to the future of our St. Lucie estuary. Are we going to get repeats of the horrible discharge woes that struck in '03, '04 and '05?
Be there to hear about it at the Rivers Coalition's evening meeting from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday July 25, at Stuart City Hall. Concerned citizens should speak up and take part in this vital community issue.
Our advocacy principles from the recent federal takings lawsuit are alive and well. While we didn't win a judgment, because of a highly disputed court ruling, we did bring the issues to the forefront as never before and garnered important official support.
PLUS, you may walk away from Wednesday's meeting with a gorgeous original painting of St. Lucie River wildlife by artist Mark Johnson, who is expected to be there to draw the winner's name. Everyone who bought a Save My River t-shirt earned an entry. And we'll have t-shirts at the meeting for you to buy and enter the original artwork drawing.
Win the original or not, the t-shirts send great messages that you care. Pick up several for the family or associates.
