Way Out West
The Dmitri Matheny Group tour continues this fall with concert and club appearances throughout the western states of California, Arizona, Washington and Oregon.
This season's popular Jazz Noir repertoire draws on classic soundtracks from film noir, B-movies, spy thrillers and underworld crime dramas. Jazz Noir offers a fresh spin on familiar movie themes (Chinatown, Taxi Driver, Sweet Smell of Success, and more) plus Matheny's original "Crime Scenes" suite with voiceover narration in the hard-boiled detective style of Raymond Chandler.

About Dmitri
Celebrated for his warm tone, soaring lyricism and masterful technique, American musician Dmitri Matheny has been lauded as "the first breakthrough flugelhornist since Chuck Mangione" (San Jose Mercury News).
