The year isn't over but as I look ahead, I also reflect back on the year's events to date. I'll hit some of the highlights. The year started out with a show at the Bullseye Gallery in Portland, Oregon. The Collage/Montage class at my studio in May, brought students from as far away as California and Canada. In July, I completed a commission for a Fortune 500 Company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I recently attended a professional residency in New Mexico.
I am pleased to announce that I have been accepted into the prestigious Smithsonian Craft Show for 2013. See details below.
For the last year, I have worked with mixed media sculptor, Joan Danziger to include glass in in her upcoming museum show. The show opens November 3rd at the Katzen Museum at American University.
There will be more travel in 2013. I'll be teaching courses at studios throughout the US. See the preview below. When I'm home, I'll focus on making new work as well as working with students privately in my Silver Spring studio.
Last but not least, I have created a facebook studio page. This is where I will post new work, studio news and events in addition to my quarterly newsletters.
There's so much to be thankful for. I'm looking forward to being home for the holidays and the months of studio time ahead. Visitors are welcome. Please call or email to arrange a studio visit.
