Rebecca Puhl, PhD, Honored with the Obesity Action Coalition’s “Bias Busters” Award
Rebecca Puhl, PhD, of the Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity, was honored with the Obesity Action Coalition’s (OAC) “Bias Busters” award during the OAC’s Your Weight Matters Inaugural Convention in Dallas.
Rebecca is the leading expert on weight bias issues and her extensive knowledge in the field has provided the OAC with monumental support and guidance in proactively combating weight bias and changing public perception.
“Obesity is the last acceptable form of discrimination and it is often an uphill battle; however, under the guidance of Dr. Puhl, the OAC has made significant strides in the fight against weight bias. She is a true asset to the OAC and a vital component in busting bias,” said Joe Nadglowski, OAC President and CEO.
