Ozark Blues Society – Open Mic Youth Program

Come out and play some Blues!

The Ozark Blues Society of NWA will be holding an Open Mic Blues Progam for youth tonight, Friday, November 30th.

We are looking for young  budding guitarists, bassists, drummers, vocalists, harmonica and keyboard players of all ages and musical ability interested in learning about and playing the blues.

This family friendly event is hosted by the Ozark Blues Society at MDA Central Casting Studios inside the NWA Mall in Fayetteville (next to Sears). 

Come early and get a seat and on the CALL LIST to perform.

Signups begin at 6:30pm

Music begins at 7:00pm

Just bring your guitar, harmonica, drum sticks and your voice... Drums, guitar amps, keyboards and PA will be provided.  All ages welcome.

 The Ozark Blues Society of NWA is also looking for adult musicians to mentor young people interested in the blues during these monthly open mic sessions.

Tab Benoit - George's Majestic Lounge - Sunday

Louisiana blues guitarist Tab Benoit brings a little Medicine to Fayetteville, for a show at George’s Majestic Lounge on Sunday, December 2nd.

Tab has released 17 albums since coming on the music scene in 1992 and, received top honors including “B.B. King Entertainer of the Year,” “Contemporary Blues Male Artist“ and “Contemporary Blues Album” for Medicine (his latest release), at the Blues Foundation’s 2012 Blues Music Awards in Memphis, TN earlier this year.
