Winter Updates!

Saturday's Color Event Postponed

The color event we had scheduled for this Saturday has been postponed,

but so as not to keep all those who responded to the "Color Challenge" in December's newsletter waiting to hear the outcome of the challenge.....

the winners are (drawn randomly from among those participants who answered both color challenge questions correctly)...

Linda Pitkin, Gail Rich and Helen

Linda's name was drawn first....whe wins 4 sks of my hand -dyed NFAC Merino fingering

Helen's name was drawn next and that prize was a copy of the Juniper Moon Herriot pattern book

Gail Rich's name was drawn third so she won a Color Grid Card

Brrrr!

These wristwarmers & hat, knit using just 1 skein of Helena (alpaca/wool) will keep you warm even as the temps here dip into negative digits! And you'll have enough left over from the skein to knit a headband for when the mercury rises above freezing!

Mimi Mink

This 100% mink yarn is oh- so soft and cozy....indulge in a warm scarf or cowl for yourself without the cost of cashmere or qiviut!

Seamless Nuno Felting

Join German felter Dagmar Binder this August for 3 days of seamless nuno felting.  You'll learn the basics on the first day, making a pair of wristlets. Then on the following two days you'll learn to take those techniques to

design and felt a lightweight

merino and silk blouse to your desired measurements.

Registration details can be found on our Classes

Kumihimo

There is still room in the Feb 9th Kumihimo class. Join Robin and learn this fun technique that can be used in so many ways......great key chains, laces, decorative bands for handknits, felt hats, handwoven trim! It's fun for kids too....friendship bracelets, barretts, the possibilities are endless!

Spring Spinning Guild Special

I recently offered a special deal on six essential tools to organized spinning guilds around the country.

Since I know many of you participate in informal spinning groups that may not be "registered" as guilds and therefore not have received the special announcement already, I want to be sure you and your co-spinners have a chance to enjoy the same savings!

So between now and March 15th, join forces with your group of spinners and place a joint order on essential tools like the St. Blaise combs or a 2 yard Cherry Vermont Kniddy Knoddy, for example,  and take advantage of special savings.

For more details, check out this page

This weekend's special.....

Save 25% off Plymouth's Loden Tweed.....

we have many colors of this lovely alpaca blend tweed yarn  in stock . It's a perfect choice for a classic sweater. So if you want a nice project to see you thru the cold month of February and want to refresh your wardrobe with a garment that you'll wear for years, take advantage of this special.
