Rasta Got Soul with Fantan Mojah

Everything Rastafari Promotions and Knak Dem Out Productions Presents Rasta Got Soul with Fantan Mojah. Fantan Mojah will be performing live in concert Saturday March 16th at Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz, Ca along with raising Jamaican reggae artist Prestige, Jah Warri, Xsample and Zareb. Tickets are $15 Advance at Moe's Alley and $20 at the door.

Fantan Mojah is notable for being one of the new wave of contemporary reggae singers who prefer to include positive themes in their lyrics. His faith is reflected in his lyrics, where some recurring themes are - praise for Jah and messages of Rastafari, positive portrayal of women, and condemnation of ill morals. This is a contrast to many popular dance hall artists, who encourage "slackness" in their lyrics, with boasts of sexual prowess and derogatory messages to women.

Aaron Silk and Flava McGregor Collaborate on New 2013 Release

Veteran Reggae Crooner, Aaron Silk has collaborated with popular Jamaican producer, Kemar “Flava” McGregor to produce a new release “Oh Me Oh My” on Flava’s 80’s Rock Riddim compilation cd released for January 2013.  The release, is a take on the original song done by his brother, Garnett, showcases Aaron’s beautiful voice and dynamic vocal ability while evoking memories of his sibling.   “I wanted to sing this one for the ladies…I hope they love and appreciate it as they did the Garnet Silk Original. “

Excerpts from the compilation cd have been going viral on social media – getting a lot of plays via YouTube and Facebook. It is also being increasingly picked up by Jamaican and international radio stations.

“I see Aaron Silk as the new voice of romantic reggae and I have great expectations for this compilation,” said McGregor.

The compilation features other artistes such as Gappy Ranks, JC lodge, Jahmali, GyptiAn, Junior Kelly, Adelle and others.

Karamanti :: Read

Every so often there comes a track that captures the attention of everyone that hears it in an unexplainable manner.

Click to play

As the name implies, the song speaks about the importance of reading and associates the degrading lyrics and images in music with the presenter’s ignorance. Since its release, the track has been getting favorable radio rotation both on the local and international scene.  www.karamantimusic.com
