From the Director

Thank you to all who take the time to reach out into our community and lend a hand to others.

We are very excited about the many new partnerships being created. It is heartening to connect with so many caring individuals and companies to ensure that kids don't fight cancer alone. Together we are strong.

Thank you also to all who came to our open house. For those who could not make it, we extend an open invitation to visit. We love sharing the mission.

Please join us for the second annual Hope Run. We are so grateful to be the recipients from this amazing effort this year. We also invite you to join us the night before for An Evening of Hope featuring speaker Michael Moyles who is a three-time brain cancer survivor and marathon runner.

Be sure to Save the Date for our upcoming Light the Way event on June 1. We have moved to the Convention Center this year and are looking forward to an amazing night lighting the way for young cancer patients and their families.

See below for information on Give Back Wednesday at Monterey Cafe! Thank You!!!

Thank you seems to be the theme today. Learning to be grateful everyday - even when things may not go the way we had hoped - creates a rich and meaningful life. And lately, I have been finding so very much to be grateful for.

Including all of you!

Childhood Cancer Action Days

American Childhood Cancer Organization, a member of the Alliance for Childhood Cancer, is pleased to announce that this year’s Childhood Cancer Action Day in Washington, DC is scheduled for June 17-18, 2013.

This year, members of the Alliance for Childhood Cancer will once again host a two-day event that includes issues and advocacy training, and pre-arranged Capitol Hill visits with Congressional representatives and their staff. Our goal: to provide the childhood cancer community - parents, children, and others - with the opportunity to visit Capitol Hill and advocate for the important childhood cancer issues currently before Congress.

Mother Emilie Gamelin made it her mission to care for the needy and vulnerable. It is with deep gratitude and with a shared mission of helping the most vulnerable in our society that the American Childhood Cancer Org INW accepts the generosity and support of the Sisters of Providence. Through a benevolent gift from the Emilie Gamelin Mission fund, together we continue to support children with cancer and their families in our region.
