Dr. Dread's Famous Jerk Potato Chips

The first jerk potato chips ever invented in the entire world. From noted reggae producer Doctor Dread. A completely unique taste experience. The Original Doctor Dread's Famous Jamaican Jerk Potato Chips.

People are going crazy for my jerk potato chips. They say they are "addicting" but I can promise you there are no ingredients that would cause that except the exceptional flavor. Only the best is good enough for my customers. Wait till you see what comes next!!!

Ras Indio's story on Channel 5 Belize

Ras Indio, Musician “This time all the way to the east to a place called Ethiopia. Well, I went to actually see things that I was seeing about all of his life. All my life as a Rasta and an Afrincan descended person, I see it as the cradle of mankind. Ethiopia is known for many culture and history things about the culture and history of the place. So opportunity arose. It was musically inclined but it wasn’t a concert this time. It was just musicians that I know and they invited me over. I took the opportunity. We ended up performing in a club called club jubilee, but it was just a spontaneous moment. What came out of that is that Ras Indio music, Belize City, will be playing now over there on 103.5. But it was a blessing to see the earth on that side of the world. To see that it was so much like here and see why we have the tendencies that we have as a people. We definitely set foot there. We have this calendar this is the new thing for the year. This is actually just a press kit that we use to book shows around the world. But if we go to the month of April, you will see that it has the full collection of Ras Indio’s albums. Yes we missed a quarter of the year because I was in Ethiopia and Egypt. But I am back and Agricultural Trade Show Ground, looking forward to seeing you there.”

Return Of The Nation

California Reggae alums Dub Nation kick off their return to action with a reunion that features new faces to the line-up. Producer and bassist, Frank “Fantom” Caruso, after years of managing and touring with the likes of Motown legends, The Temptations, has reincarnated Dub Nation with their third musical effort. The biggest transformation in their sound would undoubtedly be that of new lead singer GC Cameron. Cameron is a Motown legend who goes all the way back to the late 1960’s as a member of The Spinners. Caruso and Cameron bonded together during their days with The Temptations, joining forces to launch this new Dub Nation album, Rising Force for Change.

GC Cameron’s international smash hit “It’s a Shame”, was Motown Records and The Spinners biggest song of 1970. Produced and written by Stevie Wonder, “It’s a Shame” showed off GC’s tremendous range and vocal power. Later GC would go solo and follow Barry Gordy and Motown to Los Angeles. In 1974, Cameron would release “It’s so Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday” under his own name and on the soundtrack for the movie Cooley High.

Other original members who go back to 1995 with the group are vocalist Paul “Fish” Dawson, keyboardist Peter Nuessmann and horn section: John Caredio on trumpet and Kenny Schick on saxophone. The ensemble is completed with Bay Area guitar hero David Rampley, drummer Chris Cortez of Native Elements, and vocalists Kimiko Joy and Omega of the group Dynamic.  www.nationrizn.com

John Brown's Body New Album "Kings & Queens"

John Brown’s Body’s new, chart-topping album, Kings And Queens (#1 Billboard Reggae, #1 iTunes Reggae), released April 16th on Easy Star Records, is the band’s most ambitious release to date, encompassing the entire history of the band’s sound and legacy.  Lead vocalist Elliot Martin reaches new levels of songwriting by striking the fine balance between classic JBB roots and a fresh new JBB sound.

After releasing their exceptional and (mostly) instrumental JBB In Dub EP late in 2012, the band is back with their eighth studio album, and first full-length since 2008’s Amplify (#1 Billboard Reggae).  Kings And Queens features twelve new songs that are dripping in their signature “Future Roots” sound influenced by British Reggae, roots classics, dub experimentation, and electronic music.  The results are a thicker, heavier style than most modern reggae.  Check for JBB on tour this spring and summer.  AVAILABLE NOW:   Album on iTunes     Album on Amazon    http://smarturl.it/JBBKINGSANDQUEENS

“John Brown’s Body’s new Kings And Queens is the band’s best album to date, hands down…The music is a sweet homegrown hybrid of classic reggae spirit and inventive sonic explorations.  John Brown’s Body comes across as confident and strong; this is the sound of a group of reggae masters in a very good place.” – Jambands.com

“With “Kings and Queens,” John Brown’s Body delivered once again, demonstrating the diversity that is “American Reggae” and pushing musical boundaries in ways very few bands are capable….One of reggae’s best in 2013.” – The Pier

"I could talk about this record forever. Just go get it." – Angelica Music

The Big Kahuna helps out reggae artist who once brought him coffee and croissants

Jimmy Buffett must have the memory of an elephant - to go along with his huge philanthropic heart.  When he plays Texas - and he always plays Texas - he thanks the audience for keeping him alive when he was just a kid, trying to seek out a living playing the coffee house circuit and bars up and down Greenville Avenue in Dallas.

Now, he's lending a hand to a young reggae artist named Mishka who once brought him coffee and croissants during a trip to the islands.  Mishka was born in Bermuda and raised in the Caribbean.  His new EP, Ocean Is My Potion, on Jimmy Buffett’s Mailboat Records, just debuted at #1 on the Soundscan Reggae Chart.

Mishka first met Buffett many years ago when he was an entrepreneurial four year-old delivering fresh croissants to Jimmy’s sailboat in the French West Indies with his sisters. The musician and young Mishka formed a fast bond, and Jimmy wrote and recorded a song about him called, “Chanson Pour Les Petits Enfants” which translates to, “Song For Little Children.”
