Isaac is proof that hard work and determination pays off. Over the past years Isaac’s lead voice has become one of the most talked about by music veterans on the circuit. Folks everywhere say this young man is truly bound for greatness. Recently touring nationally with The Florida State Bluegrass Band, he has gained knowledge, experience and momentum. Still a young man, he has left a stellar reputation throughout the United States and Canada and will be remembered for years to come.
He was born a fourth generation Florida boy in Kissimmee, raised in Vero Beach, home schooled, and studied Music Theory at Indian River State College.
Music has always been Isaac’s passion. He started helping his father with lead singing in church when he was four years old, and quickly developed a love for a Capella hymn singing, Sacred Harp music, and beautiful harmonies. After watching the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou? he became inspired to learn more about bluegrass music, and specifically the banjo, thanks to Ralph Stanley.
In 2004, after Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne, he gladly left behind four years of piano for a new adventure on the five string banjo. He soon discovered he could learn songs by ear, and now plays his banjo every spare minute of the day. If he is not playing, he is researching banjos or bluegrass.
