Celebrate Our Heritage
 in Downtown Bentonville

Daniel Hintz of Downtown Bentonville told KUAF listeners a couple of days ago that the best way to cure a fireworks hangover is to see some live blues.

Well here's your chance to find out how true that statement is as Downtown Bentonville hosts a two-day event celebrating the American Spirit through visual art, blues & americana music and great food.

Musical programming will occur all over the downtown area and will feature:

The Brick Fields Duo and Band
David Kimbrough Jr
The Downtown Livewires
Earl & Them
Lucious Spiller
RJ Mischo

This program is sponsored in part by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and Coca-Cola.

John Nemeth At The Rockin' Pig Saloon Rogers on July 6th

Saturday at The Rockin' Pig Saloon in Rogers - a Free Concert featuring The Devonshires with Special Guest John Nemeth.

John Németh is a rising blues star; a singer steeped in the tradition and reminiscent of B.B. King, Ray Charles and Junior Parker, and a harmonica player of riveting intensity and virtuosity. His decade long career has found him opening for Robert Cray, Keb Mo', and Earl Thomas. Performing major music festivals around the United States, Europe, Canada and Asia has brought him critical acclaim.

"Hands down the toughest young harp player I've ever heard."
R.J. Mischo, 2002

The 15th Annual KUAF Summer Jazz Concert Series kicks off at The Walton Arts Center's Starr Theater next Saturday with Bob Dorough.

Bob Dorough is a legendary American bebop and cool jazz pianist, composer and singer. He worked with Miles Davis and Allen Ginsberg and his adventurous style was an influence on Mose Allison. He is perhaps best known as the voice and composer of many of the songs used in Schoolhouse Rock!
