The St. Lucie cries for your involvement now more than ever. Please join us as we stand shoulder to shoulder as a community to put an end to the distructive discharges from Lake Okeechobee.
 
Congressman Patrick Murphy to address the Rivers Coalition on August 29th at 11am. The Congressman will give an update on the latest federal inititives and his vision for ending the discharges from Lake Okeechobee.
 
 
The meeting is open to the public at no charge and will be at 11 a.m. August 29 at the Lyric Flagler Center in Downtown Stuart 201 SW Flagler Ave, from City Hall continue North and the Lyric Flager Center is on your right.
 
We'll have coffee and donuts, and free parking.

We Have A Lot Going on in September!
Come Out and Show Your Support!

September 1st at 2:00PM come out to the Jensen Beach public beach.
 
THE PURPOSE OF THIS PROTEST IS TO SHOW OUR GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVES HOW MANY VOTERS, FAMILIES, AND WATERMAN THERE ARE TO STAND UP FOR OUR WATERS!!!!
 
5 bands will play on the beach. Proceeds go to the Rivers Coalition Defense Fund! Plenty of parking available, come out and bring your sign, have your voices heard!
 
After the event at the Jensen Beach public beach go accross the street to Chillen the Most to listen to Fresh Catch. A sugessted $10 donation at the entrance per person.

The "larger thing" being the fight for our river/lagoon/estuary/ocean and everything that depends on these unique eco-systems...including our families and livihoods. The "smaller things" going on inside of this cause are the meetings, campaigns, petitions, letters to our politicians, rallies, protests, benefits to raise money and educating through social media and journalism.

Let's Restore the Florida Everglades
 
Stop Wasteful, Harmful Discharges to Sea. Send Excess Lake Okeechobee Water South instead of destroying our Coastal Estuaries.
 
We petitioners urgently ask that government agencies stop discharging unnatural flows from Lake Okeechobee into the St. Lucie River and restore the historic River of Grass southward.
