The Journey to the 2014 International Blues Challenge begins at George's Majestic Lounge in Fayetteville on Wednesday, October 2, 2013!
 
 
 
The OBS Blues Challenge is a local music competition where one winning act in the solo/duo and band categories will  advance to compete at the 2014 International Blues Challenge in Memphis on January 21 - 25, 2014.  The winning act in each category will be announced at the end of the competition on October 2.  
 
Our Blues Challenge is in part a fundraiser to help sponsor our winning acts on their journey to Memphis.  
Show your support for these fine performers, the Ozark Blues Society and The Blues by coming out to cheer for your favorite acts.  $5 cover at the door.

Blues Hall of Fame News
 

 
The Blues Foundation announced this week that on Thursday, September 26, the capital campaign account for the Blues Hall of Fame reached $1 million dollars -- one million dollars in the bank!!!  Dr. Janice Johnston, Blues Foundation Board member, made an additional donation Thursday afternoon to put us over the top. Thanks to all the donors who have helped us Raise the Roof!
 
There's still a ways to go to "Raise the Roof" on The Blues Hall of Fame.  Click on the logo to donate.
