The Issue:

On November 12th, Fayetteville residents will have an opportunity to voice where they would like already in place funds to be spent. Fayetteville residents will vote on whether to refinance bonds initially used to build the Town Center to support new local projects. If approved, the bonds will be used to help fund a renovation of Walton Arts Center on Dickson Street and a new regional park. This will NOT raise taxes. We need your help to provide new opportunities for our children and bring more culture and people to Fayetteville.

In addition to upgrading the 22 year old facility, Walton Arts Center will be expanding the main lobby and Starr Theater as well as adding backstage space. The new lobby will connect the building to Dickson Street, allow for better audience amenities and create a destination special event space in downtown Fayetteville. The Starr Theater and backstage expansion will turn Walton Arts Center into a functional two-theater complex, drawing more diverse local and national arts, entertainment and education.
