Ethical and Spiritual Issues and Concerns in Counseling
|
Jan. 23, 2014 | 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Port O' Call, Cartwright Center UW-La Crosse
Attention social workers and psychologists: This program fulfills Wisconsin’s ethics licensing requirements. Most people employed in health care and social services acknowledge that people’s beliefs and values affect their health and well-being. Yet so few professionals have the knowledge, skills and tools to explore and enhance people’s beliefs and values. In fact, so few counselors even know how to bring the topic up. Typically, counselors also shy away from addressing ethical/moral issues for fear of controversy or fear of offending. This workshop emphasizes practical tools and techniques, with little time spent on theory. MORE |
