CD & DVD Releases
Mark T. Small :: SMOKIN' BLUES
Guitarist Mark T. Small announces a January 28, 2014 release date for his fourth CD, Smokin’ Blues, on the Lead Foot Music label imprint. The even-dozen tracks on Smokin’ Blues solidify the Massachusetts-based Small’s place as an emerging master of the guitar, ranging from Delta blues and Chicago styles, to the intricate flatpicking schooled from his early days in “Newgrass” bands. The 12 songs on the Smokin' Blues reflect music originally performed by such early blues legends as Blind Boy Fuller, Tampa Red, Charley Patton and Reverend Gary Davis to post-war icons John Lee Hooker, Howlin’ Wolf, Elmore James and even a Stax/Memphis soul vibe with the inclusion of a Rufus Thomas tune.

Sheba The Mississippi Queen :: BUTTER ON MY ROLLS
The music from Sheba The Mississippi Queen's CD, Butter On My Rolls, takes you back to the times of sawdust on the floor, where you bump and grind all night long. Sheba was born Martha Booker with twin sister Mary Booker in Sunflower, Mississippi. Sheba learned to sing the blues while her sister followed her father's footsteps singing gospel music. The cotton fields and the church are where Sheba started singing. Sheba's family were sharecroppers barely making a living in Mississippi. When Sheba was 12 years old her mother left for Florida in search of better economic opportunities, later returning to get Sheba and her brothers and sisters.
Drawing from her life experience from hurt and pain, Sheba wrote all the songs on Butter On My Rolls.
