Jazz Improvisation Workshops As part of his 2014-15 touring season, Dmitri Matheny is presenting Melodic Mastery jazz improvisation workshops for aspiring musicians of all ages. Based on the teachings of his mentor, jazz legend Art Farmer (photo), Matheny advocates a lyrical, melodic approach to jazz.
