|
Friday night packet pickup and onsite registration will take place at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial at 52 N. Market St. between 4 and 7pm.
Please bring an photo ID and, if you're picking up for a friend, a note or email from them letting us know its okay for you to do so.

| Race Day Summary and Schedule!
|
Please remember the following important times:
- 8:00am - Packet pickup and registration opens at the Thomas Wolfe Memorial at 52 N. Market St.
- 9:45am - Packet pickup and registration closes.
- 9:50am - Runners gather at starting line in front of Thomas Wolfe House across from the Renaissance Hotel.
- 10:00am - Race starts!!!
- 10:15am - Beer opens (bib tag is your beer ticket)!
- 10:45am - Pizza arrives!
- 11:30am - Awards Ceremony.

The following are the City of Asheville parking locations in order of our recommendation that are available for runners and spectators to use on race morning (and during Friday's packet pickup):
Finally, there is limited metered street parking available if you've got quarters and, if at all possible, please consider carpooling.

Course Safety and Detailed Course Information
|
CAUTION!!! The Course is not closed.
The course is not closed to traffic. Please pay attention and stay to the far right in the direction of traffic. We will have Asheville City Police officers at many of the major intersections and volunteers in orange vests at the rest.
If you have any trouble please speak with the closest volunteer and they will call or help if necessary. A sweeper vehicle will follow the final runners.
Water Stops
The weather is going to be beautiful and you will need water! There will be two water stops, both in the same location at the corner of Soco St. and Cumberland. You will hit the stop at about 1.75 miles and again at 4 miles.
Turn For Turn
- Start in front of Thomas Wolfe House near Renaissance Hotel towards Woodfin St.
- Turn left onto Woodfin St.
- Cross Broadway and Lexington Ave. and continue onto Hiawasee St.
- Turn right onto Flint St.
- Turn right onto Magnolia Ave
- Turn left onto Reed Creek Greenway
- Turn left onto Catawba St
- Turn left onto Cumberland Ave
- Turn left onto Cumberland Cir (north entrance)
- Continue onto Soco St crossing Cumberland Ave
- Turn right onto E Waneta St
- Turn right onto Montford Ave
- Turn left onto S Waneta St
- Turn left onto Pearson Ave
- Turn right onto Birch St. and travel into and then out of Riverside Cementery
- Turn right onto Pearson Ave
- Turn left onto Cullowhee St. and cross Montford Ave.
- Turn left onto Soco St.
- Turn right onto Cumberland Ave
- Turn left onto Starnes Ave
- Turn right onto Flint St.
- Turn left onto Hiawasee St. and continue across Lexington and Broadway
- Turn right just AFTER N. Market St. to finish in front of Renaissance Hotel

 | Pizza, Beer and Glam Rock...the party continues!
|
The first 500 runners will receive an organic cotton short-sleeved shirt. Both Oskar Blues Brewery and Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. will be on hand with a free beer for each runner 21 and over.
Earth Fare, the healthy supermarket, will be proving post race recovery food including bananas, water and their awesome Maple Creme Cookies.
Oh, and FREE pizza for all runners, courtesy of the Mellow Mushroom, downtown Asheville's only pizza joint, since 1974! Folks, Mellow Mushroom is more than just a pizza restaurant; it is where Asheville pizza lovers and beer lovers gather. The search for the best pizza in Asheville is over.
Finally, big news, THE GLAMPAS, a glam rock band from Asheville NC, that has been on hiatus for a while, is reuniting to play a gig just for us!!!

| Amazing Awards and Race Bags!!!

Thanks to Asheville's premier running store, Jus Running, located on Merrimon Avenue, we will again have $50 CASH PRIMES (taken from cycling) for the first male and female to reach the first mile, third mile, and the finish. That means if you are consistently fast throughout the race you could win $150 in cash!! You must finish the race to qualify for these awards.
Age Group awards sponsored by Charlotte Street Animal Hospital for the top three men and women in their category will be a custom pint glass to commemorate your hard work!
