PRE-EVENT RUNNER INFORMATION
Welcome to the 18th Annual
Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k/5k Classic Races

We are excited to be back once again at Biltmore Estate for this extraordinary race for runners of all abilities, and hope you are ready to be part of another year of Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k/5k Classic event history! Please take a moment to read through this email and revisit the event web page to get up to date on the latest race information.

Again, welcome to Biltmore Estate and the Biltmore/Kiwanis 15k/5k!
We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Daphne Kirkwood,
Race Director
When runners participate in the race, they are not only competing for medals, but also are helping to fund the Kiwanis Children's Charities which supports several local youth programs.

Race Details:  Both races are the same as in previous years and are run entirely on the scenic grounds of Biltmore estate. The 15K begins at the Winery, climbs to the Deerpark Restaurant then descends and climbs along the main road to Biltmore House where runners will loop in front of the massive main entrance doors of the house. Runners next enter the Walled Garden, pass by the Azalea Garden and lagoon along the French Broad River, and then finish by returning to the Winery. The first half of the course has two challenging hills, while the second half is down hill to flat terrain. The 5K course will be a flat, out and back course starting at the Winery and paralleling the French Broad River.
