The Carolina Sessions Festival Postponed
Because of Hurricane Joaquin
 
In the interest of safety for our fans, artists, and staff we have decided to postpone California Roots: The Carolina Sessions to a spring 2016 date. Regardless of where Hurricane Joaquin touches down, Myrtle Beach will be significantly effected by rain and high winds, which can severely impact the safety of the festival grounds and environment. We plan to keep our all-star lineup intact for the rescheduled event and will have more details coming soon.

Reggae fest in Dubai
ROOTS singer Junior Reid is the headliner for the inaugural Dubai Reggae Festival which takes place on November 7 in the oil-rich city.
 
Reid will launch his Junior Reid: The Living Legend album two days before the event. Singer Wayne Wonder, who has previously performed in Dubai on the popular Reggae Beachfest shows, is also confirmed for the festival.

Canada recognizes reggae music with huge mural
 
The 1,200 square foot reggae mural erected in the Eglinton West neighbourhood in Canada.
 
Another foreign country has once again shown its respect for reggae music. On Saturday, the Eglinton West neighbourhood in Canada got a new 1,200 square foot mural, which not only pays homage to the genre, but serves as a reminder of the country's rich history with reggae music and its culture.

Barrington Levy Hospitalized With Dengue Fever
 
Reggae star Barrington Levy has fallen ill and hospitalized this weekend after getting dengue fever. He won’t be making his previous scheduled show at the Greek Theater on Sunday in LA.
I’ve been hospitalized after falling gravely ill. After running a dangerously high temperature I collapsed and was rushed to the hospital where I was diagnosed with Dengue Fever.

Lt. Stitchie will be heading back to the UK for a second time this year. From Thursday, December 17th (2015), through Friday, January 4th, 2016, the governor of the Dancehall will be available for shows, interviews, appearances etc. in the United Kingdom. Joseph Israel and the Jerusalem band performed and recorded several shows and the result is Kingdom Road Live, a 14-song set that transports the listener to the high energy live setting with strong musicianship and improvisation.  The audio-only version is available through iTunes, Amazon.com and other streaming services beginning Friday, September 25th.
