The Rivers Coalition meeting, this coming Thursday, February 25th at 11am as always, is open to the public and there is plenty of free parking available. We'll even have coffee and donuts for you.
 
Our special guest this month will be Tom Van Lent.
Tom is the Director of Science and Policy at the Everglades Foundation. His responsibilities include presenting expert analysis of hydrologic, engineering, and ecological information to assist in development of Everglades restoration alternatives and meeting Everglades restoration and protection objectives. Van Lent has a distinguished career as a scientist and engineer.
"Mr. Van Lent will hold a discussion on the need to acquire land in the EAA and what is required to send clean water South. He will also update us on last summer’s seagrass die-off in Florida Bay."

River Kidz Rally to Save Our Rivers
On Sunday, February 21, nearly 100 River Kidz and River Supporters gathered at the Ernest Lyons bridge in Stuart to Rally against the Lake O discharges and for clean water.  
SAVE OUR RIVERS!!!



 
 
Martin County River Kidz
 
River Kidz & Warfield Elementary:
Crystal Lucas and Valerie Gaynor gave a wonderful River Kidz Workbook presentation to the enthusiastic teachers of Warfield Elementary and Indiantown this month.  All second grade teachers in Martin County are receiving a workbook for each student in their class in the next few weeks.  Way to go ladies!  You are the best!!!
