2016 Seymour Sun Moon Dance
|
In honor of the 30 year anniversary of the Center For Peace, the Council has decided to reduce the price of the 2016 Seymour Sun Moon Dance by $250.
This means that the amount expected from the dancer will be $500. Half of that amount can be paid through our work exchange program, so the total cash due amount can be as low as $250.

The Dance is getting near. If you plan to come to the dance as a dancer OR as a helper, register now.
"Vibration moves in and through all things; is all things. At the physical essence of our existence, the atomic and sub-atomic levels, there is only vibration. We are vibration and we are constantly harmonizing with vibrations in our near presence. That is the magic of the dance. The Drum carries the vibration of the Tiwa chants of ancientness and we resonate with that vibration as we discover the potentialities of our own beingness and remember who we are."
~ echo caller
We are grateful to Joseph Rael, Beautiful Painted Arrow for his clarity, and courage and for his magnificent gift—this way of discovering our true relationship with and in all things, and ultimately, ourselves.
The SunMoon Dance comes from a vision of Oneness and Peace. Joseph brought this vision of the SunMoon Dance to the Center for Peace and many other dance locations around the world.
The Seymour SunMoon Dance is an intensely personal experience that allows the participants time to experience themselves as beings of light. There are no other responsibilities, and no facilitator describing the experience to you. It is your experience.
The Dance is getting near. If you plan to come to the dance as a dancer OR as a helper, register now.

Where is your spiritual path headed?
What is the next step for you in your Spirit life?
In some traditions candidates/aspirants to Shamanism/Medicine Elder were buried for extended time during which they went within and faced themselves.
The Sun Moon Dance is not unlike the shamanic initiation traditions as it also offers the opportunity to be in total self reflection/introspection and prayer for four days.
The Sun Moon Dance is a dance given to bring peace to Mother Earth and the people.
The Sun Moon Dance which comes from the vision of Joseph Rael is a dance of introspection and peace leading to personal discovery and growth. The time of introspection afforded in the four day dance helps break the crystallization of forms that hold us in the places we are stuck, allowing new awareness of the Vast Self to come into consciousness seeding a deep Inner Peace.
By dancing and fasting from food and drink for the time of the Dance, we heighten our awareness and allow ourselves to remake our personal world even as we call the vibration of peace to the land we dance upon.
When we dance we are the truth of breath, matter and movement. By dancing on land that has been used for Dance before, we are placing ourselves in a vortex of Spirit energy. This vortex calls us higher up in vibration as we follow the steps of those that have danced on this land before our time. The land calls us.
This dance is led by Nan and Steve Citty
July 15-18, 2016 Center For Peace 880 Graves-Delozier Rd Seymour, Tennessee 37865
For more information and to register for the dance either as a dancer or as a helper follow the Register Now button.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Although Joseph is Native American, the form of the Dance that he has given to us is not a traditional native dance, but is rather a form given to him in vision. The Sun Moon Dance is a part of the vision to bring peace to Mother Earth and to facilitate Her healing.

DRUMMING, MEDITATION, AND CHANNELING
Tuesdays
7:30-9pm
We will drum for a while, then drift into a silent meditation. The Guides, with which Perry works, will begin to speak. All are invited to attend. Bring your favorite drum [we will have a few extras here, if you do not have one to play], an open mind, and a supportive heart. In the spirit of "my job is to show up", let's see what happens. You will know if you need to be here. An opportunity will be given for other Guides to speak as well. Out of respect for time, let's come early to socialize, so we can start on time.

We are asking for sponsorship through monthly donations.
These donations do not need to be large but if those who love the Center for Peace could help by committing a few dollars on a monthly basis it could be the difference between always hoping that someday we will be able to build or provide those needed areas (i.e. showers, sleeping areas, restrooms) and actually making it happen.
If you have participated in any of the programs, offerings, and events that occur on an ongoing basis at the Center for Peace you have already felt the personal blessings from these activities. Our mission is to be a Spiritual Center for our community which extends to anyone open to this learning path.
