Blues News You Can Use!
 Transitions

Transitions are often a challenge.  If any of you besides me had friends or family (or yourself) flying on Delta Airlines early this week you joined me in participating in a difficult situation when after a power outage at their flight operations center in Atlanta the computers didn't ALL transition to backup mode. With online flight information pretty much unavailable and phone wait times for customer service exceeding 4-6 hours...well it was frustrating! For my traveling family members it turned out well enough. After having to re-book twice as delays kept building, they ended up reaching their destination about an hour and a half late. The good news was that they ended up re-booked on flights that involved leaving from XNA (rather than KC) that they initially didn't book because they were
not in their budget. So a flurry of activity on Tuesday, but all was
well when the day ended. Hope everyone's week went just as well.

Again this week's calendar is full of live music opportunities. I still would appreciate help as we round out the 2016 patio season in making sure the calendar is complete. If I am missing YOUR information...or that of your favorite band or venue, you need to email me! I want this newsletter to offer you the information you, the reader, finds helpful. Also please send any ideas or comments to me anytime at:

You have to open your mind. I like the ability to express myself in a deep way. It's the closest music to our humanity - it's like a folk music that rises up out of a culture.
