Leads - Tap Into Libraries

Direct Sellers — Have you thought about the awesome opportunity to generate leads available at all the libraries in the area.  Stop in at one of your local libraries and grabbed a card listing all the county libraries. The card could have anywhere from 10-100 libraries listed depending on your area.  All libraries have special events. All direct sellers have services that have value to the public so call your local libraries to see how you can serve their needs.  1:10 will say yes! I promise!

Why is your business the best thing since sliced bread?  It is the best thing since sliced bread right?!  You know it, I know it and we wish everyone else would believe us, right? Next month we are going to talk more about how to create desire for our business.  So, between now and then I want you to write a list of the top 20 reasons why your business is the best thing since sliced bread.  Your list should include why our company is the best thing since sliced bread and also why YOU are the best thing since sliced bread.  Why would someone want to do business with you as opposed to another consultant?  Actually, more than 20 is better so think of as many as possible with 20 being a good start.  Next month we will learn how to use that list to get more business into our sales funnel.

Use the Sales Funnel to Find Business

The sales funnel is an old-fashioned concept for making sure your direct sales business always has enough leads. Making the best use of the funnel requires an understanding of the two principles of why it works.

 

One part of the concept is the fact that the funnel is wider at the top, allowing for more leads into the funnel. It is important to be sure to use every resource available to you to find leads and new customers for your direct selling business.

 

Direct Selling Customer Loyalty

The other principle of the funnel is that customers may voluntarily come into your funnel with minimal commitment.  The widest part is actually no commitment or minimal obligation. Showing up at your direct selling party is an example of a customer who does not have much commitment to your business.  As the customer falls deeper into the funnel, their commitment level increases and they begin to have a level of customer loyalty to you.

 

Filling your funnel with a massive amount of leads and having a graduated system of developing faithful customers is how you create a consistent cash flow in your home business.  Eventually, the lead turns into a customer, who then schedules a show, and possibly becomes a rep.  As you develop more loyal customers a steady stream of cash will flow out the bottom of the funnel.

If you do not have enough business then you are probably not taking advantage of all the resources available to you.  There is an UNLIMITED supply of FREE leads and you just need to be willing to use every marketing opportunity available to you.  Friends, family, school, work, church and other organizations in our life are all acquaintances.  What are you doing to find and bring strangers into your business?

 

You must have a steady flow of people into your business who are not related to your existing client base.  That means you must continually and consistently add strangers to your client list.  Strangers are totally unrelated to your existing customer base.  If your friends, family and neighbors are avoiding you, then maybe it is time to look somewhere else for business.
