What is RSS?
RSS stands for Rich Site Summary or Really Simple Syndication and it is a a code-based system that webmasters configure with their content into a standardized format. Users can add this regularly updated content to a customized browser or website. Most browsers (like Google Homepage) display these feeds with a title, brief description and a link to the entire article. This allows the user to add the news and information feeds they want.
How It Works
Every newsletter you publish to eNewsStandOnline receives a unique URL, which makes your publication available to major search engines and to the subscribers who want to read your latest newsletter as soon as you publish it.
To make your newsletters available through RSS Feeds:
- Create and Save your newsletter in MyNewsletterBuilder.
- Click "MyNewsletters" at the top of your Control Panel.
- Click the "Publish to Web" icon next to the newsletter you want to syndicate.
- Create a "Newsletter Group."
- Enter the required information including your categories and regions.
- Enter descriptions.
- Choose the "Group" from your list.
- Click "PUBLISH TO WEB."
- Go to http://www.enewstandonline.com.
- Find your newsletter in the "Category" dropdown menu.
- Click "More" at the end of the newsletter introduction. You can now view a list of newsletters you have published.
- Copy the URL at the top of the browser and paste it into your newsletter, either in a link box with title or in the text area.
- Go to the link provided.
- Click the icon located in the upper right corner above the newsletter listings.
- Choose the reader or browser from the dropdown list.
- Follow the instructions for the selected reader.
- This newsletter series will now be available through the RSS service you choose.
