Glossary
Blacklist / Blocking
An blacklist refers to when ISPs (Internet Service Providers) block certain IP addresses of known and suspected spammers. Just a few spam complaints can place an email service provider (ESP) or IP address on a blacklist despite the fact that the ratio of complaints to volume of emails sent is extremely low; therefore, it is extremely important to follow the CAN-SPAM Act and never send unsolicited email. MyNewsletterBuilder (MNB) has many checks and balances in place to prevent spammers from abusing our system and maintains an excellent reputation with the biggest service providers (e.g. Yahoo!, Google, MSN etc).
