The J.Hill Experience is a hard-rocking, in-the-pocket ensemble that is equally adept at dropping soul, funk, and rock with their jazz and blues chops on full display. J.Hill, a young, dynamic singer/songwriter/musician is yet another of the authentic, soulful artists that have emerged from the City of Brotherly Love over the last decade. J.Hill was born and raised in a gritty West Philadelphia neighborhood, and his music reflects both the attitude and the diversity of the inner-city experience. While attending Penn State University, J picked up the microphone, sat down at the piano, and began to write and perform the stirring soul music he's become known for. J. became a crowd-pleasing favorite in and around Happy Valley, playing everywhere, sometimes setting up venues himself. Returning to Philadelphia, J performs his music at The Five Spot, Doc Watson's, Mill Creek Tavern and Nell's in NYC to name of few of the venues where J. and the Experience have banged out hot sets.
