Add 14 years to your life! ....no kidding

FOUR BEHAVIORS:
1) drink moderately,
2) exercise,
3) quit smoking and
4) eat five servings of fruit and vegetables each day

By doing these 4 things people live on average
14 years longer than people who adopt none of these behaviors, researchers said. Researchers questioned 20,000 healthy British men and women about their lifestyles. They also tested every participant's blood to measure vitamin C intake, an indicator of how much fruit and vegetables people ate.

5 Daily New Year Resolutions

Don't be overwhelmed with New Year's resolutions - break it down to what you can manage and keep track of on a daily basis.

1. Targeted Supplements: (e.g., My current program: Turmeric, Co-Q10, Multi-Vitamin, Fish Oils, Green Power) Target your regimen to your own personal goals.

2. At least 5-7 portions of (organic!) fruits and vegetables daily. Consider supplementation with Green Power, either in capsules or powder, to make sure you get at least 5. This is easier than it may seem - 1/2 banana is one portion, 1/2 medium apple is one portion, one whole medium apple is two portions! One small glass of organge juice, 4 oz. is one portion. Add salad or soup for lunch, and two side vegetables for dinner and you've reached the daily goal. Add a carrot juice, V-8 juice, for extra added insurance.

3. Exercise: make it fun! Vary your activities, walking, yoga, tennis, soccer, gym, classes, cross training. Daily exercise can add up to 4 years to your life. Getting outdoors adds an added benefit.

4. Relaxation: relaxation techniques, stress management techniques, prayer, meditation, quiet-time, wind-it-down and re-set the nervous system to calm after stress. A hot bath, reading a non-work related book, magazine, all are de-stressors.

5. Nourish your social network, call/meet/email/ a friend, family, religious community, club, YPO, political, cultural, volunteer. Strong social networks = greater health. Perhaps even pick up a hobby, or take an adult ed class. Try something new.
